Its Twins!

Pics to come later. This changes my due date. We are excited and scared. Heartbeats were both 150s which is good. We are going to hold off on telling our families until after our next appointment. I get released to the ob-gyn and will see her on June 28th. That is also the day we are moving... so that will be a funny interruption to that. We are going to tell our families after that.

Doc was find with giving me a huge prescription for zofran which is good. Since we are paying case it is going to be $150 for 30 8mg pills, which if I cut them in half will get me through a month.

:woohoo: So excited about having a set of twins in here!!

Congratulations!!! And I'm glad you're getting some Zofran to help you. No wonder your morning sickness is so bad, your hormones must be through the roof!!

Wow! Just as you suspected......congrats! Good HR too. Sounds like you have a busy few weeks ahead. Will you find out girls/boys?

I'm wondering if I should ask for some Zofran....I've always just suffered with m/s. I never actually throw up, just nauseous almost constantly with both my other kids and this one is following the same way (although it wasn't quite as bad with pg #2 for some reason). Anyway, does it totally take away nausea? It's hard to be nauseous while trying to entertain the older two....

BTW-how did you manage to get through IVF without telling your families? I had my mom here to help with round 1 and with round 2, hubby's family had a visit planned, so they had to know. It was so hard logistically to keep it quiet!

Congrats again!

Thank you everyone! I am not shocked, obviously... but ready to do some reading. We kept IVF quiet because both our families are devout Catholics; my dad will finish the deaconate program in January and we did not want to burden them with that. I honestly think it would have created more worry than it is worth, though we love our families to death. And it was hard, but I have some friends who are like family who were able to help with the craziness that IVF brings. I had to miss work alot, so a lot of people there know - but I am leaving that job in a few weeks.

And the zofran is not a miracle pill, but it does allow me to function which is very important right now.

I've got the pics sitting in my purse, but they look like the typical 7w ultrasound... I'm not saying they're not lovely... still doesn't seem real.

Hope you all are doing well. Especially you Jenni. You've been through so much and I will be cheering you on every step of the way.

Oh, totally understand. My family is Catholic too and that created some concern for me. But, my mom is a bit more laid back on some of the issues, IVF being one of them, and she was able to be supportive. I haven't actually talked to my dad about it at all (but he knows about it, my parents are still married and live together), so not exactly sure what he thinks. I don't think I would ever have been able to tell my grandparents about it, though.

Congrats on twinkies!! It was very suspicious with your very dark, very early HPT and your high betas.

I'm glad the Zofran is helping you manage. Despite their religious views, I'm sure your family will be nothing but elated for you! It's such a surreal stage in early pregnancy, let alone such big news as multiples!
