Tmi warning

I already called my ob and Im still waiting on a call back:

Since yesterday afternoonish my stool has gone white-ish to twisty cone to normal then back again. I'm having trouble eating and keeping food I do eat down along with tummy pain, dizziness and light cramping.

It seriously is freaking me out a bit and now Im a nervous wreck thanks to my friends midwife who let me talk with her and said it could be dangerous but since she's not familiar with my case to just relax drink.water if I can and lay down..HA I'll get right on that.

That's crazy to me that they wouldn't call you from an after hours line or at least have a nurse call. Do you have a nurse line you can call through your insurance or your OB office? I hope the blood work will give you some answers and that you're able to get in touch with someone tonight at some point.

The Larger hospital that works with this one has a 24hr Women's help line so I'm going to give that a try.

I'm pretty upset since I called twice :/ white stool seems like something to be concerned about. But maybe I'm wrong. No matter what I'll be stuck until hub is off work since we only have one.car and I don't drive!

I don't blame you I'd be upset too! I'm glad there are resources available near you. I know what it's like with DH working long hours and having to wait for him to be available to be seen. Thinking of you.

I hate to say it, but I agree with Tasha the stools on top of the itching made me think again of ICP/Cholestasis. The hospital can test your bile salts with simple blood work. If it was me, I'd get it done asap instead of waiting for another appointment. Ursodiol (the medication to help treat it) provides such relief for the itching.

Hope you're doing okay considering!

The nurse line advised me to seek medical attention Monday unless I start a fever or begin to vomit. I called the answering service 2 times this weekend and no call back from the on call OBs. I'm very peeved and will be calling Monday to.complain and request to be.seen.

As for my itching I started putting duck tape on the bottoms of my feet so.I can't scratch and my palms are now to tender to scratch so I rub them together lol ugh I am sure I look like a dork

((HUGS)) I'm so sorry Ashley. I hope someone was able to see you today and get some blood drawn. When I tell people about the itching, they think it can't be that bad but it can be so debilitating. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. You just have to do what works for you. It didn't work well for me with DD, but some people find black tar soap to be helpful. My OB mentioned benadryl but it never worked for me outside of helping me to sleep. KUP! I hope you get some answers soon.

I've called my OB office EIGHT times since Monday about a few issues and haven't received one phone call back. Tomorrow Im calling again and not going to leave messages or anything, my happy rump will sit on the phone and wait until I talk to a real person who will answer my concerns!!!!. Time to start OB hunting! Ugh I could understand maybe a day delay but this.is just ridiculous. I feel totally ignored and invaded about. I wish I could afford a hospital midwife (being high risk I doubt just any midwife would take me) -sigh-

That is insane! I'm sorry Ashely. Is there any way you can go down there and sit in the office? I know that's not always an option if you've got the kids with you but I would be so livid. I hope you can find a new OB asap. I'm sure a good practice will take your concerns seriously.

I agree that a midwife only team might not take you on as high risk, but maybe you can find a practice that has both? Mine does and it's a great mix. I hope you get the treatment you deserve soon.

ETA I don't know if any of these doctors are close to you, but if you want someone who has dealt with/will definatly test for ICP, ICPCares website has a list of doctors that will help with confirming a diagnosis. I'd assume they'd be great at any other things going on as well.

I can't believe they haven't called you back! There is nothing that makes me more upset than a drs. office not taking your healthcare concerns seriously! I hope you get some answers today! KUP and best wishes finding a new doctor! (Oh, and I agree with Mia, if you could find an office that has both drs. and midwives, I would check on that office--mine has both, and I really like it, too.)

1. I sat on hold for 30minutes before it disconnected me. I called back and left and not so nice message and STILL NO CALL!!
2. My appointment is Wednesday and I have thought about canceling or just not showing up but then I decided I'd much much rather release my red head Pregnancy anger out on them in person. I really hope they're prepared lol
3. Just noticed my ticker is off by 2weeks. I thought I changed it...guess not!

I really hope they take you seriously at the appointment. If I couldn't get an appointment anywhere else sooner, I'd go to it and still shop around. The stools and itching should be a huge tip off to them that something is going on. When's your EDD? KUP on how things go Wednesday!
