Well, I don't even think this month will be a possibility for me since I am not even back to coverline temps yet, but I will cheer my lady friends on.

Kim, I hope you fall into the group that experiences increased fertility right after a loss. :bigarmhug:

Michelle, you'll be moving to the tww thread soon, won't you?

I think I'm around cd 9 or 10? Good thing I have FF to keep track for me. Busy with the end of semester stuff at work (teaching). Still finishing taxes. Waiting to o and stalking others, like Marie, who are farther along in their cycles!

Glad the 2013 boards are finally up, but wish we'd all stayed on the 2012 boards. Sad

Kim - I hope this is your month!

Michelle - I'm really excited to see how this cycle turns out for you! When would your EDD be if you got pregnant this cycle?

Beth - Busy is so bitter sweet. Do you usually O around the same time?

Tasha - I hope everything goes great on Friday!!

Beth - Dr. thinks I will ovulate within the next 4 days, so I will be in the 2ww soon, yep!

Tasha - I am so excited for you! If I had to go through injectibles, I would make my DH do them because I don't think I could do it to myself. (Although my DH would be really good at it because he gives himself 4 to 5 shots a day what with his Type 1 Diabetes)

Mia - I am trying really hard to not get my hopes up or get too excited because I don't want a huge letdown if AF shows. I have 2 eggs so I am HOPING that increases my chances (two targets for the sperm instead of one) even if that means twins, which DH and I would be totally fine with Biggrin If I get pregnant, I would be due Jan 2nd, 2013.

Hi Ladies, I don't think I'll be on this thread for long - currently on CD 14....but OPK are showing test line is slightly lighter (like almost the same color) so I don't know what to think. This is my first cycle using them. Do you usually continue to test until the test lines becomes much much lighter (than control line) then I'll know for sure that I've ovulated?! (I don't temp) DH & I are stilling DTD everyday for the next several days, JIC.

I also started taking Royal Jelly & maca this cycle, so fingers crossed! If I don't get my BFP this month, I'm going to start using Clear Blue fertility monitor (friend is giving me hers)

Good Luck ladies!!! Smile

I haven't used OPK's myself, but I hear that most people test twice a day (morning and evening) and keep testing until the line is as dark as the control line to indicate that you definitely hit your surge. So yes, I would definitely keep testing to see if it gets lighter/darker and keep bding every other like you are. :goodluck: and I hope you catch your egg!

Hi ladies!! I'm glad the new boards are up! I've got my royal jelly, maca, and the pharmacist at my local naturalpathic store told me to take some guaifenesin right before I O, so I think I'm all set for this month!! I'm determind! Has anyone gotten their DH to take any kind of supplement for sperm production? I read on the bottle that men can take maca too to help sperm?!

DH hasn't taken anything but maybe entice him with something like "if you take this, we get to BD more" Biggrin I hoe this is your month!!

My DH takes maca, daily vitamin (that contains zinc) & just started taking royal jelly as well (he takes the capsules). He doesn't exactly "love" taking all these, but I tried to explain it's not the end of the world, plus I'm taking multiple things as well. It's all apart of the process Smile

My DH used to take something the acupuncturist gave us. We still joke about it because the only ingredient we could make out (most in Chinese) was "ground deer di*k." The terms were a little different, but that's how we still refer to those pills. Neither of us had any idea exactly what those pills were meant to do (acupuncturist is Chinese and we don't understand everything she says). I would encourage your DH to take supplements that might help.

And, yes, Tasha...I'll get on that! My 100 opks and 40 hpts arrived in the mail yesterday. Had to order two packages of wondfos to get the free shipping. Wink

:wavehello: Hi everyone! Glad to see we got our boards!!!!! yay!:jumpingbeans: I'm waiting to O right now. I've recently started taking Royal Jelly at the beginning of this cycle. My temps have been crazy, but Kim looked it up and said that isn't a RJ thing. I do work night shifts, but my last chart didn't look this wonky. And I usually cramp about CD11-14 and O on 14ish. Today is CD 14 and no cramping. Some very brief twinges this AM, but still no sign of O. My OPKs are very faint. hmmmmm. Any ideas?

Marie- OMG, your chart is looking gorgeous!!!!!!!! Are you POAS already? Keeping everything crossed you get a Xmas surprise my friend.

Jina- damn cyst better go away. I know you hate the BCP but I hope you can hold out.

Tasha- how the heck are you? What is the next step?

Mia- lol about telling your DH if he takes a supplement that you will get more BD in. That cracks me up. You will have to let me know if it worked. I had DH take a supplement a few months back. Not sure it helped us or not.

TMarie- hmmmmm what is the benefit of having DH take royal jelly? My DH takes a crap load of vitamins and supplements. I bet I could slip in one more if needed.

Beth- lol about your DHs Chinese supplement. You know, the thing I love about the wondos is that they are literally so cheap, I don’t mind POAS a lot Wink

Cara- I am glad AF showed up. I hope this is the last time that she visits you for a LONG while.

Gina- I hope you and your DH catch the eggie this month. I bet it is hard not knowing when you are going to O because of the meds. I know there is no way I could talk DH into an every other day sex routine … he is old, he would die Wink

Nidia- Good luck this month. I hope you catch the eggie.

Kate- wow your temps are way different. Hmmmm…. I swear all my research doesn’t indicate anything weird about it making your temps off or o’ing different. Maybe now that several of us are on it, we can compare notes after we have all taken for a full cycle (if we don’t get pg).

Amanda- what is the guaifenesin? When do you take it? How often? Etc?

AFM- I am here. I took another pg test today and it was lighter then the last one I took so guessing that my hcg is decreasing. I was supposed to go get bloodwork tonight but honestly, I can’t stomach the idea of driving 4 hours today. I called and told them I would come by tomorrow night. I mean, I know it is over, and I know I need to be monitored to zero, but I just didn’t want to drive so much. I have driven home every night this week so I could sleep by DH. I thought I was handling things well, but yesterday and today, the little things have made me cry. That said, my period makes me cry sometimes so I don’t think I am doing horrible by any means.

Kimberly, I know that drive could get exhausting, in more ways than one. sometimes you just need to cry though and it helps. you're a strong woman!

Kate, are you stressing? I know that can cause you to o later than usual sometimes.

guaifenesin is found in robitussin to help thin mucus so they believe it will thin out the cm as well

aActually, I don't know if RJ helps with sperm productions or not, I've read other women have had their DH take it. I orginally bought the capsules, but also read that the fresh is better, so I went out and bought them, and didn't want to waste the capsules, & RJ has so many other benefits, I guess it can't hurt!

and for anyone who has taken royal jelly? Did you notice cramping, almost like OV pains when you first starting taking?? I started taking capsules around CD 1 (even though I've read you shouldn't take during AF) and switched to fresh around CD 5, and noticed that I had some cramping that sort of felt like OV, but it would have been way too early!! I took a pg test, BFN, and when I checked my cervix, had just a very little blood. also, nipples were super sore. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this? Thought maybe it was from RJ...

Kim - I don't blame you at all for staying home. Four hours is an insanely long drive, especially concerning something so emotional. DH isn't taking anything, but that would be the route I'd take if he was hah!

Tasha - Saturday?!?! That's so exciting!! I hope everything goes amazing for you!

Oh Mrs. F - that's soooo exciting about the upcoming wedding!! I miss wedding planning (been married for about 1.5 years) I kinda had "cold feet" and it wasn't like I didn't want to marry him, or didn't love him, I was just really nervous about the whole marriage thing. I think I was more nervous about it NOT working...and I know you shouldn't think that BEFORE you get married, but so many marriages end in divorce, that I was nervous this could happen to us (my parents were divorced at an early age). and when I talked to DH about it, I thought he would tell me he felt the same way (which at the time I thought is what I wanted to hear) but he was surpringly very calm and said he didn't even see divorce as an option.....and that actually did make me feel better Smile So anyways, yes I think it's normal to be nervous, and we too fought a lot at the end b/c SOOOO much was going on, and I was SO crazy busy (I was a full time student, in one of the hardest semesters at the time of our wedding) and I seemed to have taken on all the responsibilites, and when I asked him to do simple things, he couldn't handle it, so yeah that made me mad. haha. but once the week of came, and we got excited about the upcoming wedding, and more importantly, upcoming marriage, all that fighting seemed to fade away. Good luck!!

Hi ladies. Just popping in here to say hi and I hope that everyone is doing well so far. I have no idea if I'll O this cycle or what to expect..especially now that I apparently have retained tissue after d&c and may have to have another which I'm SUPER against. But honestly we have no plans to prevent once I feel healed up enough for DTD again anyway. Doc said as soon as we knew stuff was gone he'd give me Femara again for the next cycle. So if not this one I should be back in the game soon. I hope everyone is doing great and I'll try to catch up! Smile

Marie- thanks for the advice.

AFM im debating a homebirth. ive seen nothing but good stuff about it. ive been dreaming about it since the day i decided i wanted to be a mommy. but my hubby seems shaken at simply the mention of it. but im looking into an unassisted home birth with only myself and my hubby. any thoughts?

Hi all...I'm in the process of moving so I haven't been around. We have definitely downsized in our new place, I can't lie. It's a little scary to think about TTC now because I'm feeling the less space. I feel guilty to say, but I sort of hope if we do conceive, God-willing, it's another girl so they can all share a room lol....

I had a normal period this month and it didn't last 10 days or whatever the heck it was last time. I think not obsessing as much will help me along in getting the egg to come quicker. I am also going to start exercising again regularly. How is everyone doing?

Anyway, GL to you all this month!!!!! Here's to new year babies!!

Leah - I am glad that your Dr. is on board to help out however they can when you are ready! I hope everything heals up nicely and that any residual tissue is taken care of naturally.

Mrs. Furtado - I think a lot of DH/SO's are nervous about the idea of a home birth at first. I haven't had one, but a lot of my friends that have said that their family/friends were nervous about it at first. Education is power in that department. If the pregnancy is low risk, why not go for a home birth? Smile

Sarah - I'm glad you're all settled! Downsizing is always a little intimidating. I hope this is your month. Biggrin We have a big house, but we want the kids to sleep across from our bedroom so even if we have a boy, he and DD will share a room for a little while just because I'm weird about having them close.

Mrs. Furtado, it's probably all the stress.. wedding planning is stressful!! I think it's normal though to have arguments around that time.. stress levels are over the roof. hope it calms down some Smile I'd love a homebirth. we will just see what happens when I get pregnant. I had an emergency c-section with my DS.. so it's a little scary.

Leah, I hope you are back in the game soon Smile

Sarah, don't feel guilty.. we live in a small home right now.. and I know it will be tight with 2 kids.. so I'm thinking "if it's a boy, Noah and this other baby can share rooms and if not.. maybe in a few years we can upgrade". I guess we could always lose our office lol.. the sacrifices!

I said I was going to wait until the 20th/21st as that's when AF is due (21st) based on FF but I'm getting really annoyed with my body. I totally felt all my typical O symptoms last week, temps were right, ewcm bd cravings etc and we BD'd. Been feeling different since 5 DPO but not quite like OV kwim? Today and last night I've been so nauseous. Got a positive OPK this am and now I'm wondering if FF and I were way off. Going to try to see if DH will BD tonight and tomorrow just to be "safe" but I don't see how FF and I would be so off. If I'm still convinced my dates are right and I'm still feeling as bad as I do now, I'll test on Monday and go from there. I have 11 tests in my cabinet. Biggrin

Kim - I'm against having another d&c because of the possibilities for scar tissue and because of the possibilities for infection since I'm immune compromised and already got one from the last d&c. This is TOTALLY TMI and disgusting so if you're easily grossed out don't read my next sentence. Lol. About two days ago I had some green stuff mixed in with the blood so I'm convinced it was an infection regardless of what the doc says. That has NEVER happened before. Ewww! Thank goodness for the tons of antibiotics I'm still on. My RE appears to be against another d&c also and if I do need one he'll do it and make sure I don't have any problems that'll affect fertility.

Mia - Good luck! I hope you get a bfp soon! Fingers crossed for you!

Mrs. Furtado - I think the idea of a home birth sounds wonderful. It seems like you'd be way less exhausted to be able to go through it at home and not have to move back and forth between home and hospital. I'd say if you're low risk why not? I'll be high risk so there's no chance for that for me but I sure would like the opportunity. I think it would scare my DH to death though. Lol. I think it sounds disturbing to them though. My DH keeps joking about staying in the waiting room while pacing and smoking a cigar. I told him he doesn't get out of the delivery room that easily. Smile

Hey guys! yeah, we got our board up now! I just checked today!

Mrs.Furtado- I had a homebirth with my DS and it was amazing- Im also a doula... if you want to pick my brain about anything, feel free to ask, I did TONS of research beforehand. I personally wouldnt feel comfortable with an unassisted homebirth, (I had two midwives) but thats just me Smile

Leah- Im so sorry to hear about your mc Sad I saw you before on the TTC board when I was lurking.... its really not fair the way life works sometimes. I hope you dont have to have another DC and that this is your month!

My DH and I have started BDing for the first time to try to make a baby! It is so exciting! Im not supposed to ovulate for awhile yet, but last month I didnt ovulate so Im not sure whats going on with that. I hope I do this month.

I really hope I get to stay in this birth board! FX'd for all of us!!!

Hi Ladies, AF showed today so now I am on to January. This past cycle was 30 days and the cycle before that was 35. But the few before that were the regular 28. So idk when or if I am Oing...I don't think I can talk dh into letting me buy OPKs just yet so I will just watch cm again and make dh bd often.

I lurk more often than I post, but I am not able to get on much. Hoping to get to know you all anyways!

Leah - I would fee the same way if I was you. Again I'm sorry for how everything turned out with your d&c.

Welcome Christine - I had some cycles like that when I first got my cycles back (2 months 28 days, then 2 that were 35, and now anywhere from 28-32!). It can be a pain. I just started using OPKs again but I (almost) always O around the same time. EWCM, cramps, and mood/cravings are a big tip off for me. Do you track these things or temp too just to give you some advantage without opks?

Mrs Furtado - I'm sorry about the stress! Wedding planning is insane. Congrats on deciding on the home birth route. I haven't done it (but would love to) and I know a lot of women who's DH's were questionable about it at first. YOu have lots of time to educate him. I agree it's important that you're comfortable where and how you give birth.

Stephanie - Lots of fertile/babydust to you!! I hope you get to stay. Your siggy pic is to die for!

Nidia - That's what I"m hoping it is! I got a pos OPK yesterday and neg today (both opk and hpt with fmu on the later) but we BD'd the last two days so we'll see. Been feeling stupid nauseous when I don't eat today and took a nap yesterday which I never do so that's promising. Biggrin

Thanks for the baby/fertile dust all! I'm so excited for all of us to catch those eggs and start filling out spaces! Biggrin
