I'm still down about 5 lbs from the start of my pregnancy, which is okay for me because I was overweight to start. I've stopped losing, though, so I'm pretty sure I'll start gradually gaining from here. Goal is to continue eating healthy and hopefully not gain too much more or less than 20lbs for this pregnancy, so I feel like I'm doing fine for that goal. I expect to gain most later in the pregnancy like I did with my daughter.
I'm sad to say I've already gained 15! I was on a super calorie restricted diet when I found out I was pregnant and had just lost 15 pounds, but then I was starving. Even when I was super nauseous, I ate to feel better. I've been eating super healthy so I'm trying to just focus on that and know that I can lose it afterward. I looked back in my pregnancy journals and the most I gained before was 45 with my daughter and lost it within 1 year. Although, I was much younger then!
Since I am preggers with twins, I don't count - but I might make some of you feel better. At almost 15 weeks, I am up 8 pounds. Babycenter dot com has a pregnancy weight gain tracker with a "twins" button (and one without - check it out!). It shows me slightly above goal, but I have been eating healthy foods for the most part since the nausea has improved. Last pregnancy I gained a little more than I should have, but I lost it all as well. Losing weight when you are younger is definitely easier, but it can be done at every age. My mom is kicking butt with weight watchers right now. Her transformation has been amazing and inspiring. I am just glad that fresh fruit and salad seems appetizing now, as the first trimester seemed all I wanted was carbs.
I've gained somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-8 pounds. I know it's not a big deal it just is so strange to me as I only started gaining weight with DD around 14 weeks or so as my ms with her was horrid. I only gained 24 lbs in her pregnancy and hope to gain more in the 25-30 lb range this time around. I've been trying to eat as "clean"/not processed as I can and drink more water to even things out a bit. Despite not being swollen, I think some of my weight gain is water weight as it fluctuates so much.
Ugh so not doing good weight wise I was on a restricted diet up until we started ttc then I kind of went crazy and gained about 10 pounds before I even got pregnant....then to top it off ANYTHING healthy (salad, fruit, etc) made me sick during the first trimester so I ate like crap! I think I am up about 15 pounds from the start of pregnancy and at LEAST 25 pounds over where I was when I finally lost all my baby weight from dd #2
