Hey ladies can ya'll believe we are almost done?! I'm still shocked! My cervix dilated enough to where my mucus plug fell out yesterday! and my Braxton hicks are every day down! My doc also gave me the OK to start trying to naturally induce labor at 37 weeks cuz she thinks he'll be a big one and wants me to still have the birth i want and says he and i are very healthy and that she knows he shall be fine if born then! so Who knows i might have a Christmas baby on my hands! My hubby is taking me out on a date tonight, (first in like 2 months) and tomorrow we go get our final big baby item, the Travel system!!! my bed rest is over now too and I can officially start walking and doing more again yay! I'm so excited to be at the end, I LOVED my pregnancy but i think me and Aidric are ready for his birth lol! So how is everyone else?
I am glad everything went well at your appt today. I had Dylan as 37 weeks he was 7lbs 11oz a very big healthy boy. Everyone at work thinks I am going to have a Christmas baby as well I am just hoping I can hold off till January. I have a very high insurance deductable and if it can count toward next year rather than the last week in December I would be a happy mama. My pregnancy has been going well, feeling really big and the heartburn is killing me. Other than that I cannot wait to meet baby girl!
Glad you are doing well, ladies! I had DD2 at 37 weeks and she was only 6lbs 2 oz and she was just fine.
I am tired of being pregnant....honestly. I can hardly walk half the time--my sciatic nerve really bothers me now, and the heartburn...oh the heartburn! I have also been very tired and without much energy lately. I am excited for baby to come! And I'm hoping she will come in December...guess we will see!
Omggg its winding down now !! Super excited!! Im ready to see his little face now and im hoping to be induced at 37 weeks !!! I would love a Christmas baby soo much ! As far as discomfort i feel it now that hes getting heavy and so my back is hurting like crazy !
Mariah I'm glad your appointment went well and you're off bed rest! I hope your date night was awesome!
Vicky - FX your placenta will move a bit and baby will flip.
Lisa - I feel you on the hb! I hope it gets better for you soon. It's so hard to eat when you've got insane heart burn all the time.
Patricia - I hear you! I capped my end of the deductible (1500) on my last l&d stay in October but I'm just seeing bills for most of my care now so I had to set up payments ugh. Our year doesn't start over until mid year anyway but I'm so glad my delivery will be covered! Insurance is a blessing but financial stress from it is still tough.
AFM - Things are okay. Had my second NST yesterday and it was fine but I almost didn't think he'd pass as I could hear his heart rate slow down a bit a few times and I noticed the OB (same one who delivered DD and is AMAZING) watch it but it was okay. Because of my contractions (mild as they are) he checked me for dilation and did another Ffn. No dilation thankfully. My injection site(s) have been getting really irritated so if this weeks does the same thing I'll just have to use pills daily until 36 weeks. I realized last night that if I go into labor at 35 weeks they won't stop it and I'm as that's only TWO weeks away! As uncomfortable as I am, I want him to bake as long as possible. Call me crazy but if it wasn't totally necessary to have him at 37 weeks and I was low risk, I'd plan on a 41 week delivery. I do not want to go through all that low birth weight/bfing and jaundice stuff again.
I'm not going to lie, I'm so jealous of all of you ladies who will be delivering towards the end of December/beginning of January. Aside from Cindy, I think I'm the last one due on this board. Oh well! I'll live vicariously through you all until it's my turn
Overall, I'm doing alright. I feel a lot more BH than I have w/my previous pregnancies, which I know means nothing, but a tiny part of me would love to experience the act of going into labor prior to my c/s. I feel extremely large and I'm waddling already!! I've had several people comment on that. I also am exhausted! I'm not getting much sleep ad I feel like Reagan is so low already. I feel all of her movement down near my bladder and good golly! Every time she kicks I'm making a mad dash to the bathroom. I'm so thankful I have an associate in m classroom so that when I don't think I can hold it during one of her "soccer practices," I can run to the bathroom
Wow everyone is so ready huh? Our date night went great until I had a mini panicked attack at 1am about the amount of stuff we had to get still. But I have this deep gut feeling that its only a matter of time before I go into labor. Its crazy strong! Like so strong we needed to sit down and do the hospital bag at 2 am. I'm fairly certain that by the time I start trying to naturally induce that I won't have to wait long. I think he's as ready as I am . On date night hubby surprised me with my Christmas present early cuz he said I needed it now. Its a new cam-corder! We also got the travel system yesterday and put up our tree! Everything is almost ready for our liL man to arrive! So excited!
Mariah, I would think they would still want you to take it relatively easy. I know if you went into labor now they would want to give you steroid shots to mature your LOs lungs. I am jealous of you girls who have already made it to 30 weeks. I have so much uterine irritability and I am only 30 weeks; like walking for me is one constant contraction. God forbid I try to carry anything that weighs more than 10 lbs. But we are happy. I am beginning to think we might really be parents again in a few short weeks! We, too, need a travel system.
Tiffany you're doing great! I know how frustrating it is to feel like a PTL time bomb waiting to go off. Do you have a particular travel system in mind that you want to get? I always wanted a jogger as they're so easy to maneuver but never wanted to spend the money on them. I might pick up a double one at a consignment store if I see one. We have a ton of shops around us that have awesome deals on really gently used items.
