Im hoping to be done soon too only because my pressure is stressing me out !!! I need gim out so i can lose weight and get my pressure down ! Im going to ask my doctor if I can be induced at least by 37/38 weeks which is in 2 weeks :) I really want to meet this kiddo seriously !
Okay, since I'm the one that brought it up, I'll start....I just turned 39 in November! I'm SO OLD!!! It's kind of funny because when I started having kids at age 21 I thought I would be done having kids by the time I was 30. Oh well, so much for plans!
My due date is January 11 but my dr. is pretty sure he will induce me on Dec. 28 if I don't go sooner because of my gestational diabetes. I think that my gd is also what is causing him to keep a closer eye on me and see me weekly so soon, which started last week at 32 1/2 weeks.
My daughter started asking to make a countdown paper chain at 100 days prior to my due date and I told her no, it would just make me depressed. But now that we're getting closer I wouldn't mind as much. We had a board at my shower for everyone to guess baby statistics and my kids guessed on that. I haven't decided what the prize will be yet, though.
Here's hoping that everyone who wants to go early will be able to!!

I am 33. And this is my 6th child. And this pregnancy has been, by far, the hardest on my body. This is our last, and I am excited to be done...to have my family be complete. And I can't wait to be able to move like a normal person again! lol :)

Tiffany -- I just had to drop by and say I loved your comment on the "Can you look stylish if you're pregnant at Xmas?" poll! I know that I could definitely relate towards the end of my own pregnancies. HA!
Just as a side note to all those bemoaning your -- um.... let's see what is it referred to? Oh - "Advanced Maternal Age" :roll:
Take heart that I definitely had all of you youngsters beat. *sigh*

LOL Kudos to all of you who were prego during an "advanced maternal age". I am having a hard time at 33, I can't imagine being any more "advanced". ;) In all reality, though, all that matters is the end result--our healthy, beautiful babies! :)Quote:

Lisa - I don't blame you for feeling done. While we think we'll have another child someday, I am really anxious to meet this little guy.
AFM - Had an appointment yesterday that I'd had scheduled anyway for an NST. MW had that preformed just to make sure all was okay (little man did great). I felt awful so she gave me some prescriptions for day/night nausea (the latter to help with sleep) and heartburn meds. I also got my amnio date for next Friday with an induction Monday the 17th if his lungs are mature. IF we make it that far, it will be tough with DH's work as taking a week off unpaid (they only get a few days a year and we had to use them earlier in the year) would really mess with unemployment pay and insurance etc so I'm hoping this little guy will come on his own after Thursday. If we're out of the hospital before the 22nd, DH should work it so he won't lose xmas pay. The overnight nausea medication helped so much. I don't think I've slept that well in months. DD was obsessed with a dreamlite she saw at CVS yesterday and keeps saying Santa is going to bring her one pink pony so I better get on that. :) It's fun that she's getting old enough to enjoy holidays. I am so looking forward to getting an Elf on the Shelf next year!
My dd wants the unicorn dreamlite but they were like $30 and she is already asking for other things that have already reached our budget so she's not getting one this year
It is so fun when they get into the holidays! My dd has learned Christmas songs and sings them all day long, it's so cute!
OH and glad to hear baby was fine on the NST and that you got a great night of sleep! I hope you get your wish for him to be here!
