Thanks! I am hoping he'll bake until at least 37 weeks just so he gets more time to develop those lungs and put on weight (i can never get the 1 oz per day thing out of my head). We have a GC from TRU that DH's work gave us for DD as a super late birth present so we'll probably get the dream lite with that, otherwise we wouldn't be considering it as it's so expensive.
Anyone else nesting a lot? I'm assuming it's more energy inspired then anything, but I've been getting tons done today it's been nice.
i have had not nesting going on here for a few days! I need to though my house is a mess!
Ok girls I finally did it....I posted some belly pics! And I even changed my avatar and siggy pic (i'm 33 weeks in the siggy pic)! PB isn't so bad if you have a computer to work on lol.
I have some updated family pics I want to share, but it will have to wait as I left the CD at home, and its not pulling through my FB for some reason :)
here is one of my family pics, one of my favorites, but it is super small
My son wants a full size nascar driver (don't remember who - I think Kyle Bush sp?) and a full size nascar. That is not happening. This is like when he asked to be a red city bus for Halloween. Where does he get these crazy ideas?
I am on call for work tonight... which may mean sleep is even harder to come by. What is funny is that I did not realize I was on call until an hour ago. So... glad I am preggers with nothing better to do. Also I am beginning to think I am going to take all 12 weeks off... 4 weeks unpaid. I am not really sure we can do it though.
Lol your son sounds hilarious!
Tiffany your DS is too funny with the gift ideas! I'm sorry about your not being able to sleep, I can never sleep when I know I could be getting an important call or if something big is happening the next day. I hope that things work out so you can take off as much time as possible when the twins come without it being a total financial strain.
AFM - Pretty sure this little guy dropped tonight. I had been having contractions throughout the day but just crampy BH and nothing nearly as bad as my worst ones Monday night that led me to l&d. I didn't time anything as it never seemed real enough. Since he dropped I've had tons more pressure (surprise surprise) and some contractions that are painful but I don't know what to think. Some are close together but others aren't. I fell asleep for a while but woke up an hour and a half later wide awake from contractions. Timing them to see if they ease up and am hydrating more. Took a shower which was nice but didn't stop anything. We really can't afford to have DH off work unless something is going on so I want to be sure before I wake him up. On the other hand, he works over 2.5 hours away so if things started to progress in the day I don't want him killing himself trying to drive back. DD got her first real "boo boo" tonight. DH said she slipped and fell off the ottoman and her toes got jammed against a board book. It's just a couple tiny cuts but she was so upset and kept asking us to kiss the boo boo better. I know she will forget about it in a day or two but it just reminds me how little she really is.
Yikes Mia keep us updated on those contractions!
So just woke up at 5:30 with a big headache :( I don't HAVE to be up until 7) :( I feel exhausted :( but I know part of it is I am so excited my parents are driving through town today, picking me and dd up, and heading up to stay with family all weekend...we are having our family Christmas on sat and I really can't wait! All of us are really spread out over the state and it's really hard for us to get together. I am really close to my family and my closest sister is an hour and a half away (and my inlaws who live 4 miles away have nothing to do with us) so I get really lonely in this little town I live in. My oldest sister lives 3.5 hours away :(
Anyway super excited LOL
I'm sorry about the headache Lesli, maybe you can catch up on some rest on the ride up? It sounds like you have an awesome weekend planned! Enjoy your time with the family. :D
DH was going to stay home so I could go get checked out if the on call MW thought I should be. I told her my only hesitation was that the contractions would vary in consistency. They hurt like real contractions, but some would be 3 minutes apart, then some would be ten etc. She gave me the usual 5 minutes for an hour or longer thing and watch baby's movements. She didn't seem to mind my being 36 weeks which surprised me but whatever. I eventually got a little more sleep. Still contracting this morning so we'll see. Going to try and just not aggravate things.
Wow! I didn't turn my computer on at all yesterday, and I feel like I am so behind!
Mia--I hope your contractions stop for you and that you are able to take it easy.
Lesli--Sorry about your headache, but I hope you have a great weekend with your family--sounds like fun!
Tiffany--Your DS sounds funny! How did your night go last night? I hope you are able to take off the time you need without much financial stress.
Someone mentioned nesting...Mia, I think. I think I am still in nesting mode, just not as much as I was a week ago. I pretty well got everything ready last week--I just have a few more Christmas gifts to get and then I will be ready for the holidays AND ready for baby.
I haven't been sleeping well. And when I wake up, it feels like my pelvis is breaking in two! It's pretty painful. Once I get moving throughout the day, however, it isn't too bad.
