Well I am glad the contractions stopped I hope you DD feels better soon.
It is crazy how many of you have things going on. I wonder who will make it to Jan. I am hoping I will and knock on wood I might because I have had nothing exciting hapening around here. I do get an ultrasound on the 19th get to see how big baby girl is and make sure she is head down. I cannot wait to start seeing pics of everyone's little ones.
I'm pretty sure I will be baking my lo until jan...I was a week late with dd1 and I'm expecting the same for this one!
It snowed a foot between last night and today. This morning the roads were still passable, now I am just praying not to go into labor because it would be hard to get to the hospital. I am up 50 pounds and a little depressed about that. Also starting to have pelvic girdle pains. I went a week past dates with my first one... but that pregnancy was a lot easier than this one. I bet I will go all the way to 38 weeks with these ones. I am working on being ok with that. :)
I agree Patricia, I wonder how many will make it to January. As excited as I am to see all our little ones, I want them to bake as long as possible!
Lesli - I would be the same way! If I make it past tomorrow, I'll be the most pregnant I'll ever been so I'd like that (so long as he's fine of course) just as my DD was such a peanut. I think it's best to expect to go past dates so you aren't getting your hopes up if you do. KWIM?
Tiffany - I am sorry about the pelvic pain. I hope things tone down for you so it won't be so stressful getting to that 38 week mark. As physically challenging as that would be, I can just imagine how big (and therefore easier) those babes will be! Regardless of when they come, I'm sure they'll be perfect. It must be nice knowing you're so close to that 34 week milestone. I hate driving in snow or just after storms when the roads are still slick or icy. Be careful out there.
AFM - We got our Christmas tree today which was nice. Still need to shop for this little guy (we're just getting him a bouncer and keepsake stuff) and our families but I should be able to do that online or on a quick run to the store. I haven't timed my contractions at all today and I don't feel like they've been getting worse so we'll see where things go. I'm not expecting anything at this point. It's supposed to be really warm tomorrow so it will be nice to play outside with DD. I'd love to put her in the stroller for a walk but we have a lot of hills around us and that might push my body a bit much.
Oh, and I seriously lost my phone in a snow bank... well I dropped it and then my husband must have shoveled it into a snowbank and then the snow plow came... but it took me several hours to realize that was what happened. Basically I must have dropped it when switching to the drivers seat so my husband could push our car into the driveway. GPS tells us roughly where it is. He and the neighbors actually spent quite a bit of time looking for it... they were super sweet and it was a chance for us to all socialize and laugh at something. I will, however, need to find a cheap replacement... oh well... goodbye iphone. See you next spring. I must not be that hormonal - post partum I bet this would totally set me off in tears.
Tiffany--I'm sorry about the pelvic pain--that makes things miserable! I am still laughing about your phone (sorry you lost it, but that's a great story!). How sweet of your neighbors to help look for it!
Mia--I hope you are able to keep LO baking a few more days, if possible. You are so close to that 37 week mark. GL!
AFM, DS woke up with a croupy cough early this morning...and DD2 is complaining of the same headaches he's been having the past few days. Yuk! Hopefully they can get over it quickly! They act pretty well fine during the day...so I guess we will just see how tonight goes! Nothing too exciting happening here...just tired of being asked how I am feeling and when the baby is due...
Tiffany - I would be a mess if I lost my phone to a snowbank. It has to be so frustrating realizing how you lost it and knowing there's no way to get it back. While it wouldn't be as nice as an iPhone, your carrier should have some really cheap replacement options until you can get another iPhone or can look into a referb model. How sweet of your neighbors to help look for your phone.
Lisa I hope DS and your other kiddos survive whatever they have soon! I hate bad coughs, even when they aren't serious it just sounds so miserable :(.
Not much happening here. My body seems to like to act like it's going into labor in the night and then taper off. I'm relieved to keep him baking, but it's hard not getting sleep even with medications for it. Of course when I told DH to keep his phone on him just incase (I was having painful consistent contractions for 3 hours straight) he was convinced it would happen because I'm as far along as I was with DD LOL. We're going to our BFFs for a play date before my NST, I'm excited to get my mind off things. :D
Lisa-hope DS feels better soon! I am also tired of hearing when are you due? Do you really think you will make it to January? I told one guy he wouldn't make it to January if he asked me that again. Can I blame my *****iness on hormones?
Tiffany-sorry about your phone I would be so upset!
Last night was a hard night for me I really didn't get any sleep just tossing and turning all night and my back is killing me. I am hoping that tonight I can just get to bed early and maybe get some sleep. On a better note today I have my last final for my MBA all I have to do is get a 58% and I will get a 'B' in that class and be graduated I am so excited!!!!
Mia--that has to be so frustrating having all the contrax, but not progressing...but at the same time so great to be able to keep LO baking. I'm glad you have something to do before your NST. Have fun!
Patricia--I am still laughing at what you told that guy about January! hahaha It's getting annoying listening to all the questions, but at the same time, nice of people to be concerned. And I really hope I DON"T make it to January! I am SO ready to be done. I'm sorry you didn't get much sleep last night--that's so hard! Good luck on your final! What a great accomplishment!
AFM I kept DS and DD2 home from school this morning. DS was mad at me...he really wanted to go to school. I told him if he did okay today, then he could prob go tomorrow. DD threw up this morning, so there was no way she was going. The secretary at the school told me that if everyone on her attendance list was sick, then it was a full page long...what a great start to the week! Hoping they are all better soon and that the little girls stay healthy! I am tired today...and its almost naptime! YAY! Not motivated to do anything...my sister is coming for Christmas, so I was going to work on her Christmas present, but we will see how I feel AFTER my nap. :)
Patricia - Congrats on being so close to done with your MBA!!! I hope you're able to get some good rest tonight.
Lisa - It's amazing how illness just sweeps schools like that. How cute that DS really wanted to go to school. I hope the nap was refreshing and that you're able to easily figure out your sister's gift.
My appointment went well. They offered to let us change our dates to Thurs/Fri but we decided to keep things the way they are just so we have the best odds and can have my MW or OB deliver us if the amnio doesn't put me into labor or I don't go into active before then. She checked for my water breaking because of my leaking today. I was 90% sure it was intact but it's good to know I was right. I'm 2-3 cm now so if I make it to induction, I would just need a little Pit or AROM to get things going which is great. It's nice that they let us call the sots and that something's happening for all that's going on. I am amazed and in love with how much DD is getting into the holiday spirit. It's so sweet!
I hope everyone else is feeling okay and dealing well with the weather if they're getting more snow/wintery stuff too. It's insane to think how close January is getting!
