    Default Happy December!

Our babies are due NEXT MONTH.

Did that sneak up on anyone else?

If baby arrived tomorrow, would you be ready? What's left on your to-do list before you feel like you're ready to bring baby home?

For me, it's putting up the crib (currently sitting in the box in the kids' room), buying a mattress, and pulling out/sorting/washing the NB/0-3m clothes. Oh, and rearranging carseats in my car (DH's car is done).

Not too much, but I should probably get on that at some point!

My oldest's birthday (dec 14), Christmas (shopping is done... Still gotta wrap and get some crafty gifts made), my Ds2's birthday (jan 6), ds2's big boy room emptied out (currently office/storage) and set up, rearrange and rebuild crib (currently in toddler bed set up)... Finish shopping for baby stuff (we got rid of a bunch of stuff as ds2 outgrew it), car seats....

So just a thing or two, you're saying?

How neat that your kids will have birthdays so close together!

I'm SOOOO not ready, but then again our house guests just moved out yesterday!

-oprdered the crib online this past weekend because of online deals but no ETA on when it will be delivered yet!
-no mattress yet but I'm ordering that today with a cyber Monday deal I found.
-I have 3 onsies and that's it for clothes, nothing else. But DH is going to New Brunswick next weekend and will be bringing a bunch back for us to use if we want them (all boy stuff but I'm sure some I can use). I really want to go out and buy some but I'm holding off until I see what they have!
-we have no sheets for the crib, and only a few blankets (all hand me down knitted ones), and 5 receiving blankets and that's it!
-the baby will be in the crib in our room for a few months, but I still want to paint their future room and get it set up so we still have to do that (get curtains, a throw carpet, etc)
-no dresser or storage yet to store baby things. I'm checking online deals today to see if any jump out at me at a good price as I would like to get it before I get all the baby clothes so I have somewhere to store them!
-my stash of cloth diapers is still low. My plan to sew my own only got 1/2 done due to my hand numbness issues. I registered for some multi-packs so I will probably go pick those up soon (I get my work bonus Dec 23 so most of the shopping will come after that).

We do have the stroller and car seat out and put together, but it's not installed yet!

My mother apparently went a little nuts last Friday at BRU getting gifts for all the grandchildren and she also got some stuff for baby, but I don't know what other than a baby monitor. I won't see her until Christmas though!

And because we are doing a home birth, I still need to set up for that. Which means I need to hit a medical supply store and get some king size waterproof fitted sheets and also hit up walmart for some cheap king size fitted sheets that I don't mind getting stained during birth. I also need to clean the master bedroom from top to bottom and get it ready and organized for the home birth!
