I've been going to a physiotherapist for SI Join Dysfunction for a few months now. My left SI join is....screwed. I'm in almost constant pain walking, sitting, etc. I've had it for 15 years and only finally got around to having someone help me fix it.
Now...I know pregnancy hormones can almost immediately start softening joints/tendons to allow things to start shifting, moving, and growing. I'm already noticing more pain the last 2 weeks (since I've been on pregnancy hormones for almost 3 weeks now anyway so my body is a little ahead in that sense).
I didn't see the physio this week due to my schedule. I see her Tuesday evening.
I have to tell her, don't I? I don't really want to say anything too early, but I need to get this under control now and I can't just stop therapy until the 2nd trimester.
I mean, I don't think anything we do would be bad as it's mostly stretching and a few exercises, but I think she's going to need to start modifying things for me so that I can get a hold of the pain now and lessen it for the next 9 months....
I know you don't want to say things too soon but anyone that deals with you in a medical way needs to know. Treatments will vary a lot with pregnancy, they will stop any tens treatments, u/s treatments, etc. Also, they should be able to help you with how to deal with normal pregnancy aches and pains.

Well, I guess I will have to say something. This weekend I will compile a list of all the exercises they have me doing so we can review them/modify them as needed.
