QOTD: Weekend plans?

What's on the agenda for this weekend?

Getting some chores done around the house? Pre-holiday celebrations? A whole lot of absolutely nothing? Biggrin

As for me, I'll be spending the weekend at work!

Baking a cake today with my kiddos and niece and nephew (ages 7, 4, 4, and 2) then tomorrow we'll decorate it and have a birthday party for the grandparents. We're also going to try to record one of those recordable book for grandpa (he did some last year for the grandkids so now they're gonna do one for him). We got goodnight moon cause it has short pages for the two year old.

It's a long weekend here (Canada Day), so I get an extra long weekend because it fell on my regular 4 day weekend so I got 5 days off.

My sisters wedding was yesterday and it went well. Finally relaxing today!

What ended up happening with the wedding? Did she ever let you know when to show up/what to do?

Score on the 5 day weekend!

It was... Interesting. It worked out in the end but we were just making it up as we went along. Because she married the younger brother of a friend of mine (that I've known since I was 7) a lot of old mutual friends of ours were there from high school. We used to go to ceilidhs (Irish dances) when we were younger and the grooms family plays Irish music so we did some old dances. Lots of fun but I tried to not overdo it as I have been a little dizzy lately. But I'm happy it's done, less stress now.
