Waiting to Ovulate

Alright!!! The new boards are up!

Hopefully this one is it for many of us.

I'm CD8 today, so in a week or so I should be able to relax and cross my fingers!

What would everyone's EDD be? I'd be around Jan 2 or 3.

I'd love to be here. I have a 10 month old but have not gotten my cycle back, so I suppose January is an extremely remote possibility at this point. I will lurk those and I hope everyone else gets a BFP!

I got a borderline "almost there" positive OPK yesterday. I will test again tonight, but I'm thinking I will O today or tomorrow. I guess I won't be here that long then. Smile

I'm trying Maca this month, as well as using my Diva Cup as a fertility aid. Not sure if it will help but I'm a little desperate. April 29 will officially mark 6 years since we ditched birth control....

We DTD tonight and plan to do it again tonight.

I can't try until next month, but if I ovulate around the time I think I COULD possibly land in the end of this month, but I think I'll more likely be in February or March if the clomid works again! Smile Huge hopes Smile

Good luck everyone!

Rachael - I used the instead cups, and got my only bfp with them. I hope it helps!! Smile

:hiding: I am lurking. But shhhhh. Don't tell no one. We are just letting things happen. Sadly I doubt I'll be in this month.

im waiting to O (which should be tomorrow) my EDD will be Dec 30th (so i guess i should be in that group) but im not holding my breath. I have had 3 CPs since Dec. waiting on my follow up appointment which will be at the end of april (around the time AF is due). she did blood work to test my thyroid and my HCG levels to get a base line for everything. I also have an U/S, but cant schedule that until i start my period on April 23rd (IF i get it) and they want to do that 4 days into my period which will put that appointment on the 26th so my follow up with be the week of the 29th (i hope).. i am also crossing my fingers that doing all of this, this next little bean sticks!!

I hope this is it for you Froggie. 3 CP's in such a short time, I am so sorry. Sad

My fancy sperm friendly lubricant from Belgium arrived today, so we took it for a test drive. Quite nice!! I like that it's in a bottle instead of individual packets. It's called Conceive Plus, by Sasmar. We had been using actual eggwhites, since that was the trick that got us our first two babies. But 4 cycles in and DH doesn't want to waste anymore eggs. lol. I figure this bottle will last us a few months anyway. Smile

No +opk yet. DTD every other day til then.

Well it looks like Hello January

Taken from December

Well after brown spotting all day I went tot he toilet when I came home and and wiped and it was red. I am expecting af either while I am asleep tonight or tomorrow now. I guess it's off to the doctor seeing as I am now getting short LP's which is new as of last month. Only upside is now I won't be away for my May cycle. I really want to just curl up and cry but I can't because DS will get worried about me

I am going to call in the morning for a doctors appointment, I am limited to after work or Saturdays, and I doubt I will get one for this Saturday so it will be next week, most likely next Saturday before I can get in. After work appts are hard with DS because he starts getting hungry and if they are backlogged it can be nearly 7pm before we are seen.

Jordan - I used conceive plus for awhile. We liked it just fine. Now we use preseed, but that's because the store we used to buy the conceive plus at stopped selling it! Hope it works for you!

Wendy I'm so sorry you are here now!! I think it's a good idea to head to the dr. I hope that it helps and you are able to get your next sweetheart soon Smile

Hi all...looks like we are onto a new year....

I got a positive OPK the day before yesterday and slight temp dip today with some lovely side effects of cramps and diarrhea, accompanied by a pimple, bad mood and EWCM, so I made myself DTD and am so hoping today is O day, which would be an EDD of 1/1/14 if I'm not mistaken. I will take it!! Smile

Have you heard of Zestica? (Bescot Healthcare Canada: Zestica Fertility?)

DH and I had a horrible allergic reaction to Pre-Seed, but we tried Zestica a few months back and we love it. It's a little expensive, but a little goes a long way!

Oh Sarah and Wendy, I'm sorry to see you here still trying! I hope this month is it!! You too Rachel!

I started my provera on Tuesday, so hopefully by next Friday I'll have a cd1! Then back to clomid. If I look on the bright side, I've gotten pregnant 50% of the time on clomid right?? Wink

I did see Zestica at Shoppers Drug Mart. It was about the same price for the Conceive Plus, so I got that instead, since it has the ions its users swear by. lol!!

Here's hoping for a Jan baby for you too, Susan!!

Yikes! I woke up today 1.5 hrs before my normal time and then adjusted the temp and it shows a temp raise....

However, it was beeping so slowly and has been stopping and starting during it's beeping process, and pretty much taking forever that I could barely get back to sleep afterwards. So I took my temp upon waking for the day and it was lower than the too early time! Shouldn't it have been higher since I was up and moving? Then I took my daughter's temp and it wouldn't even finish. Battery died!!!

I don't know which of my temps are null and void now, but I am really hoping this isn't an annov. cycle and maybe I even already O'd the day after the OPK. I decided I may just remove the temps and be  and wishing and hoping.... I'll get a new thermom today and see what it looks like in the AM. The good news is the new temp is over 97.9 then I'm sure I have O'd because my post-O temps are consistent each month.

Thanks for listening to my rant Smile

oh that IS frustrating, Sarah!! I hope your temp tomorrow will tell you what you need to know.

I got a POS opk today, so Yay! I did take my temp an hour later than I normally do, though, so my temp is skewed. blah.

Looks like af is about to start, oh joy.
I have an appointment with the doctor on Tuesday evening to start trying to get some answers as to why we have been TTC for a year with no luck. Unfortunatly because I can only go late in the day the only doctor on is the one I didn't want to see because he never looked into causes when I had continued spotting and bleeding issues when pregnant with DS, so I am worried he won't investiage this issue to far either.

I wanted to see the female doctor who is starting at that surgery next week but she only works 9-5 and I work in those hours as well and have a crazy schedule next week and no prior approval for time off for an appointment. Many of the surgeries in my town have their books closed to new patients, the only one I know of that doesn't has doctors with some of the worst reputations in town. I have been there out of nessecity for DS when he was 4 months old, they were the only surgery open after a category 5 cyclone had been through and DS was really sick with what turned out to be his first bout of brochiolitis. They were terrible.

I live in a small town with a high aging population, medical services are quite stretched. Ideally I would love to go see my fantastic GP who is an hour and a half away, but she only works two days a week(and she has been on extended leave lately as well, but I think she is back) and the distance is a problem as well with work. If I get no love from this doctor I will be making an appointment with my good GP, I need to see her in June anyway, so I can just move the appointment up

Oh I'm sorry honey. That all sounds so hard.
If it helps, many of the tests that you'd start with, a regular dr can order... I really hope they can help you or at least point you the right way.

Been to my appointment, as I guessed not much help. He looked at my charts and commented they were so perfect they almost looked made up. He also said with the chemical pregnancies they really shouldn't have shown up as positives tests at that point and seemed to fob them off a little. He has ordered sperm testing for hubby so I have to call tomorrow to see when he can do that, but it will probably be his day off next week. He would not order anything for me saying he couldn't and could only refer me to the fertility clinic, which he didn't do either. He wants me to have a pap smear, so yay I get to pay for another appointment to get that done, I think I may wait until we go back for hubby's results to save on money. After we get hubby's results back we will proceed, which will mean me having to travel to the fertility clinic. The doctor wouldn't even order blood tests for anything including progesterone which I asked about.

Well this just annoys the heck out of me! I'm so sorry.

I'm not sure how insurance is in Australia? Private or public or what. Can you choose a different dr? Or go to the fertility clinic yourself?

Most Ob's just kind of brush off chem preg as almost figments of imagination in our flimsy female minds, in my experience. When you go in to the pap smear, can't you tell him you WANT that referral to the fertility clinic?

Why would he have hubby to do a sperm analysis at this point? He's obviously got some going, since you've been pregnant. I would wonder more about your progesterone levels and your lining with such early losses.

And to say it looks like you made up your charts??! I really don't like this guy. Ugh. I'm sorry you have to go to him.

The comment about my charts was a compliment to them, it was basically saying they are so perfect and textbook charts. Fertility will have to go through private, I have private health cover so it will be a little cheaper but still a lot of money, and it obviously doesn't cover the petrol costs for travel. I live in a small town and many gps have their books closed to new patients, I know one other surgery that doesn't, but I wouldn't take my dog there, I had to take DS in an emergency type situation once and they were the only place open and I was not impressed with them at all.
Thats why I asked about progesterone, but he won't got there and said the fertility clinic would need to look at that. I have to have a referreal to go there I believe because they are specialists.

Ahh... ok. Well it's good you have good charts! I would definitely ask for the referral. I hope they can get the testing you need! Smile Good luck honey.

As much of a pain it is to have to go somewhere else - he is probably doing you a favour. I have learnt over the last 6+ years that GPs and OBs are good at what they know - GPs - a little about everything to deal with common issues, OBs - know what to do with a pregnant woman and helping ensure baby arrives safely. Neither one has any more knowledge- and probably less - then we do ourselves. (in the same way that an RE knows about helping people get pregnant, they have no clue what to do with you after the pregnancy is running smoothly, babies are not their forte Smile
This is why I am always wary whenever I read about someone's OB giving them Clomid. (They don't monitor you while on it, just give you the drug and take a "let's see what happens" approach. Not necessarily a bad thing, if you have a clearly defined issue)

The right RE knows what tests to do, and what the results truly mean in relation to your fertility, and the best use of your time is to wait to see this type of doctor (as much as the waiting sucks!).

Wendy- well, it's good news that he thinks your charts good look. I too wonder why the Dr. is checking sperm count? Weird. I would call and tell them you want a referral to the fertility clinic! What a lamer! Yuck on Pap-smears. I hate those! I hope you get it all sorted out soon! Smile

We may not even be able to proceed with the sperm analysis, we can only get the deposit taken at the pathology lab an hour and a half away. My husbands work schedule doesn't really allow for that and he doesn't drive so he can't go on a week day off.

I depends what I have on at work, especially if we need to go further I will need to use lots of sick time for my appointments and they are scruntinising sick days lately and this is not something I want to speak with my work mates about. Only 1 person irl knows and thats because I cried because she caught me straight after getting the run around the other day.

Well, I'm back here. I was off on my dates and thought I would have an EDD of early January with my last cycle, but I put it in the calculator today and it would have been Dec 28.

AF showed this morning so I'm back here. I'm doing fertility drugs and IUI with my RE this month and I'm really trying to be hopeful!

I am hopeful for you too! I hope it works for both of us this cycle because I am SOOOO sick and tired of all this (as I'm sure you are as well).

I just talked to my nurse (our clinic assigns us a nurse) and she was so nice and helpful. I'm all booked for my bloodwork and CD3 ultrasound Sunday morning and tonight I go to pick up my meds from the pharmacy!

I'm freaking a bit right now for some reason though, not sure why. Maybe it's excitement or endorphins or adrenaline or something from calling and actually getting this all started!

Good luck Rachael, I hope this does the trick for you.

Hubby may be able to go for his SA next week. He has asked his boss what days off he has and if he has Monday I will drive him up tomorrow afternoon, he will stay at my Mum's and then get the bus home Monday afternoon. Then it's just having him free for another appointment with the doctor to get the results and me finding somewhere I can get a pap smear done because the GP wants me to have one. Then we can proceed from there

Yay, SA is a go for Monday. Now to get a pap smear somewhere (not sure if my GP does them, I may try and go to a bulk billing clinic for one though, I certainly don't want to pay for that less than pleasant experience) and then back to the GP sometime in the next couple of weeks. I just asked DS what I was getting for Mother's day as we looked at catalouges and he said a baby and that I would have a baby 'in a little bit'. Lets hope he is good at predicting the future

Well I'm rather sure I'm here. AF is due tomorrow and I have had PMS. I tested at 9 dpo and 11 dpo and got BFNs so I'm not holding out much hope. Friday was Noah's 1 yr bday in heaven I was really hoping in my heart of hearts to get a bfp that day. Poetic justice or something like that. This was my first cycle back on clomid after m/c #4 it took me 2.5 mos to heal from that early loss. So I was hoping we would get a bfp but its not looking like it. Clomid sucks so bad tho it messes with me majorly even giving me pg symptoms near the end of my cycle I still have nausea off and on and high temps, etc. But at least I know it's prolly the clomid so I don't have false hope. Really hoping that Jan will be my month and all of yours too!

Rachael I'm glad the Femara is being nicer to you!

Wendy, when will you find out the results of the SA?

As for me...I had WICKED cramps today which is very unusual for me on CD7. In fact, still have bright red blood today as well, when usually it's down to spotting. Very odd.
