Anyone else starting to wind down at work and do less?
I'm in IT so there's no real point in me taking on projects or complex problems at this time as they may lead into the new year. I'm also trying to finish up any existing projects and tickets so I don't have to pass them on to someone else.
In the meantime I find I'm just doing little tickets/problems.
I'm also finding that people are not including me in troubleshooting and problems which makes me a little sad. I know I only have 7 weeks to go and with the holiday coming up it will go by quick....but it seems a little early to be not including me in the team.
Actually, I just did the math and I only have 29 days of work left?? Ok...that's not much.
Nope, but my job is more of a day to day thing, so my last day at work will be the same structure as a day this week.
Although, I do some training of students/new staff, and I can't take on a brand new staff member right now since I'll be on leave before they are done training.
Our schedules come out 6 weeks at a time, though, and the next schedule just came out. So strange that my last day before leave is on the end of that schedule! That makes it seem much closer!
I need to start cleaning out my desk at work and cleaning up my files on my laptop, prepare it to give back. Save all the documents etc that are personal, etc. Also need to figure out how to get the pictures off my work BB and email them to myself or something.
