Any ideas?

Hey ladies...so Zayne and new baby will be living in the same room. SOOO I think this summer I"ll re-do the room (so yeah I have tons of time). But I don't know how to do it. Right now the walls are chocolate brown and Zayne has his name on the wall (wooden letters painted light blue) and green and blue circles on the wall (stickers).

What are some ideas that I could use to make it a room for both of the boys? Ie. Not too babyish for Zayne but not too grown up for new baby. (ok Zayne will be like 2 1/2 this summer so he's not really a big boy)

I would do a train theme in classic/rustic colors that would allow light blue to be an accent color in the color palette. Or you could repaint the letters of his name. If you're really motivated, you could even put train tracks around the room above the door frame that you can flip a switch to get it started. One with sounds, lights, and steam!!! Ok, that's part of my dream boys' room I couldn't make into a reality soon enough for my ds, haha... Well his also included a fishing theme with it!

Pottery Barn kids had great ideas for shared spaces http://www.potterybarnkids.com/room/rom/romsha/romshasea/ i like this one since you mentioned having brown walls already. Sports themed would be cute too.

lol, I'm no help, good luck. We Kept EJ's crib bedding and the crib is on one side of the room, and the twin bed with the race car sheets is on the other side. Our wall is an off white color and the windows have wooden shades. It's pretty much Everett's room with a baby bed in it. Eventually I'm thinking bunk beds or the double bottom, twin bunk on top and let the boys go, but I'd really just like a bigger house with 2 seperate rooms.

I would probably get them the same or similar bedding, 2 years isn't such a huge gap so they can both co-exist for a while whether it's exact matchy-matchy or not. Is Zayne going straight to a twin or are you doing the toddler bed?
