Thread: "big girl bed"

introduction #2 isnt going so well. She keeps getting up. I told her tonight if she got up even 1 time that there was no big girl bed tonight, well guess who is sleeping in her crib. I'm trying to make it very clear that once IN bed you STAY there with a 1 strike and you are cribbed approach. do you ladies think she will grasp that? I know it will take a few days and all but does it seem to far fetched a concept for a 2 year old to grasp?

I say that's fair. I think it's much easier for a 2 year old to understand action = consequence rather than action = warnings and warning and warnings then consequence. I know they can count to 10 and such but I don't think they get 3 strikes.

I think I'm a tiger mom, but with Everett I am constantly saying "if you. . . .then this will happen" and following through if he tests me.

she LOVES the big girl bed. She begged for bed after dinner and didnt even want a bath. i guess she will get it eventually
