Nat...sounds like an amazing weekend!!!

OH KIM IT WAS!!!!......I was so over due for a break from being mum and home educator.....Dont think it will happen again for a LONG time hahaha....

Amber hope things are getting better....why were you all teary on Sundy????.....just tired of it all?

The older kids had their last day on Wednesday or Thursday. From what I've seen over Spring Break...we get them in the best sorts when they are home with their mom all day. So I'm sure every Tuesday and every other Friday will be wonderful. Russ has been acting up alot, I don't see counseling really helping him and now he is started to follow DSS1 which is getting him in more trouble. I think I was just and am just an emotional wreck. I'm not sleeping again, stressed out about everything especially with Russ' behavior and the boys tearing up the house literally. When Russ kicked a hole in the door it threw me over the edge and made me start thinking DH was going to have enough of it, not be able to handle the boys and their BS and call things off. Of course he says it will never happen but still worries me. I honestly need a break from being a mom badly!

Amber it will get better...Russ is just stretching his wings....Liam has been acting out a lot lately too...Ive never smacked his butt and put him on the chair down the hall so many times.....He just isnt thinking before he does or says things...He has such a cheeky smart mouth on him, although his little attitude and facial expressions are pretty cute at times, we are now SICK of it, sick of the back chat, yes back chat at almost 4!!! And the hands on the hips, the pointing of the finger at us, the screaming, the hitting the walls etc......Hes just lucky that all the rest of the time he is a super good kiddo....
Just be firm/stern and consistant....Make sure he knows you are serious, there needs to be consequence for actions, they need to be actioning ones, as in ones that work and work GOOD...keep looking till you find the thing that really gets to him, each kid is different...
ANd you need to follow through with everything you say if you say that he wont be doing something because of his behaviour, dont let him do it, it sucks cause everyone misses out, but he will figure that out too EVENTUALLY....
From what I can see, boys are slow learners!!!!.....They push the boundries more than girls, or just differently....

We are trying to teach self control at the moment...Liam gets put on 'the chair' down the hallway...now instead of time limit, he now has to control himself...the time starts now when he has calmed down...Time can wait and it can wait for a long while....He has times where hes good and calms down straight away and others he kicks off for a bit then realises the time hasnt started yet....

I will send you the email I got from PORSE reguarding teaching self control, its from my FAVOURITE person ever...Nigel Latta, he is awesome!!!....if you ever get the chance to watch some of his programmes on bringing up children....WATCH them, he is super funny and OLD SCHOOL!!!!

I found a couple of things of Nigels on utube, he has box sets out, which Im wanting to get 1 because its true and 2 he is sooo funny, learn and be entertained at the same time....the set Im after is 'The Politically Incorrect Guide to Parenting' this covers the first decade of kids...then he has 'The Politically Incorrect Guide to Teenagers' another one I want....
But I couldnt find any of them on utube....but this is him in The Politically Incorrect Guide to Grown ups'....its almost like stand up comedy of parenting, or in this case adulthood.....

So after watching those you can see how entertaining he can be....making it interesting to listen to him....AND LEARN.....

OHHHHH and Zoe now has a little sister....her father and his partner had their little girl yesterday via C-sec....they named her Kyra Lacey Brock.....
BUT get this....Im soo angry, It took me to txt him about 7pm last night to ask if there was any baby news for Zoe, as she has been patiently waiting news....ANd he txt back tell her to ring me at home...
Baby had been born at 2.30pm!!!.....WTF!!!! WHy did he not ring her after school to tell her, why did it take me to ask before he told her???....AND she doesnt get to see her till after school today!!!!!
ZOes been a bit insecure about this baby, as it is a girl and it means she wont be daddies only girl, she will have to compete with a girl thats been born to the step mum....
Hes not including her enough and its pushing her out of their family in her eyes....GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR.....

Nat...I'm so glad to hear that E isn't the only 3-almost 4 year old boy that acts like that. When we talk to E's pre-school teacher, she makes us feel like E is the only kid that sasses back!

Nat - He is hilarious. I'm sorry your X is such a dbag to Zoe. You would think a new baby would be something to share. Oh snap I'm thinking!

Kim - E isn't the only one. My two monsters, I mean wonderful children feed off each other. When that happens i want to scream.

I was just talking to Andy last night about those videos, we are going to buy the box sets of all of his series he has done...the parenting one, the teenage one AND the grown ups one too....Hes soo funny and interesting to listen too AND I love how he is oldschool....Its about time parents reverted back to how we were bought up!!!!....HARD and STRICT!!!!.....

Kim, yes Liam is a shocker....BUT only at home with us, Kindy had never seen the other side of him until a couple of weeks back his favourite teacher saw a TEENSY WEENYS bit of it....and she was blown away....He jsut wouldnt put his bag on his bag and crossed his arm put a scowl on his face and said NO IM NOT DOING IT...and flat out refused to do anything I asked....The teacher came over and got him to do as he was told, I asked her if hes ever like that at Kindy and she said NO NEVER!!!....I was glad to hear that....SO ITS JUST A SHOW FOR US!!! Lucky us!!!!
