Any plans for the weekend?

We are celebrating Austin's bday with a trip to the zoo then his party. MIL and SIL are coming over today, so i'm trying to get a ton of cleaning done. Then start dinner, and make baked french toast for tomorrows breakfast.

I feel closer to you guys than my IRL friends maybe its because we have kids around the same age..... No real plans other than the inlaws comming to visitbecause they feel bad that they couldn't be there for us on Monday when we had Maya to the ER.

That might be why but Idk, I had several friends in Utah with kids within months of mine.

I don't have any friends with kids E's age and I feel like when I ask our friends with older kids for advice, they don't remember a lot of the stuff associated with a 3 year old...

E is leaving on vacation tonight. My parents are stopping by for dinner. When they leave, E is going with them. We won't see him for at least a week...maybe two. I taught my mom how to upload pictures to FB, so I'll still see him, just not IRL.

It's going to be weird...the first night that DH and I are child free and we're going our separate ways. We were invited to a birthday get together for one of his friends, but my friends want to take me out for my birthday. So, DH is going to the friend's party and my girl friends and I are going to a martini bar

Enjoy your kid free time. I won't get that until our honeymoon. Is it sad to say that I can't wait?!

Opinions...Last night MIL suggested we have our minister do a spiritual wedding now and avoid the legal until later. I thought she meant the two wedding thing (I did the court house then the big wedding with X) and I really don't want that. DH thinks she meant just do something with the two of us with our minister (so it would be similar in a way, then have the big wedding and legal ceremony. At first I told DH, no way. He didn't agree or disagree with me. Now that I've thought about it more, i'm on the fence.

What do you guys think? Don't forget, we live in major religiousville (which i dont have a problem with)

Since you do live in major religiousville, I would probably do it, especially if it would make his mom happy. But, I'm a major people pleaser and will do almost anything to make others happy.

Hey all....as it is the weekend here already....
We have fun planned for today, we are loading all the kids in the car and heading to the Wellington, the capital of NZ... Unfortunately Zoe and Liam get car sick, so thats a bit of a PITA (but I know how it feels as Ive been like it all my life too, so I do feel for them)....Sooo fingers crossed we can get oer the hill without any dramas, I dont like dealing with puke... make me feel dodgy too....
Anyway its Andys bday on Monday so our trip is linked to that....We are taking the kids to the Zoo, the little ones are excited to see lions, tigers, giraffe's and the chimpanze, the chimp's are my favourite they are very clever, they do a chimp talk and introduce us to them all by name, explaining each ones personality, the throw bits of fruit for them to catch to point out each one and the chimps really put on a show for us....SOOO looking forward to that....
Then we are going to take the kids on a ride on the tok tok bikes along the water front down to the beach...weathers not looking to flash not raining jsut cloudy, but we are still going to do it....
Then we are going to head back to a city about 30 back towards our home town to a big shoping mall and do a bit of shopping for Andys bday....And check out some new lounge suits, ours is poked!!!!....
So thats our day, Im just about to go get dressed and sort out food for the day, Im trying to make it as cheap as possible so I will be packing a picnic lunch to eat at the Zoo.....
