Thread: Chat to the Crowns, Part 14!

Last night we had to go out to MILs to feed the horses. Over the weekend a kitten turned up and the mom hasn't been seen. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Both the boys were freaking out, screaming and running from it. Poor kitten kept "chasing" them. It honestly was the funniest thing to watch. DH picked it up and made them pet it. they were ok after that but Austin kept trying to crawl in the horse pen to get it.

DH also made me get in with the horses. The one I've been fighting/working with since I moved here was all smiles. I've never seen a horse smile until last night. Since he is a kicker, every time he moved I was on edge. Afterwards I was on top of the world and then DH told me what to watch for with him. Before last night DH almost never saw me at MILs, now he really won't.

I woke up this morning and thought it was Saturday and I would get to sleep in...sadly it was not! I'm so ready for this weekend. We were so busy last weekend that I'm ready for some down time.

Amber - that is so cool you are making progress with the horses!

Kim - that would be depressing. Today was my day off but Dalton made sure I didn't get to sleep in, or sleep at night. I don't know what his problem is but I'm giving him motrin and feeding him extra before his bedtime.

I am the WORST mom ever! I've been putting Everetts feet into size 9 shoes only to find out size 12s fit him perfectly. This meant tie shoes, which will be a nightmare I'm sure but he's super happy about his new shoes

Today is crazy!!! We have two federal tax returns due today that haven't been filed yet. Could be a late night

Kim - Yuck! I hope you don't have to work too late.

Amy - I've done the same thing with Austin (and prob Russ too).

I'm wiped out today. Not sure what the deal is but I feel completely off. Last night we did get some wedding stuff figured out including the invite wording, so I'm def getting more excited.

WOO HOOOO!!! One of the returns has been e-filed and accepted. The other has been e-filed and we're waiting for acceptance. I think there's a margarita waiting at home for me

Hey guys sorry Ive been MIA so much lately....Lifes been so busy....Amber I stoked that you are getting so much enjoyment from the horses...Amy you arent a bad mummy we all do it...

SO LIFE HERE....SIL is having probs with her husband etc and Im trying to be there for her all I can...
The kids are all really good, Charlies almost 2!!!! Where have those 2 yrs gone????.....
We have had a lot of sleepless nights here, kids got a tummy bug and Liam was up spewing, Charlie just had it coming out the other end...
Liams cough has been bugging us for a few weeks again, like it does every winter, so I took him off to the dr for it AGAIN, Liam has got Asthma it turns out, which makes a lot of sense now....Hes pretty good throughout the day (unless he has a cold then it goes straight to his chest) BUT come about 3-4pm and the coughing starts...then he wakes at 3-4am coughing and cant stop so hes awake from 3-4am which makes a very LONG day for all....I had him in at a&e twice last year with it, at 6am, becuase the poor boy cant breath, gasping for breath between the coughing....I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG, he shouldnt be like it ALL winter...
So he his now on a series of inhalers, he has 3...its now just up to us to get the routine of giving them to him sorted...But we have noticed an improvement, until the last 2 nights, hes now also got a cold with a viral rash and the coughing is ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT!!! ARGGGHHHHHH Ive been living off about 2-3hrs sleep each night for the last week and a half now.....

Then 2 days ago I got a phone call from my SIL asking what we are going to do for MIL's bday on Sunday.....As far as I knew they were going to be going away for 2 nights, because she needs a break from life....she still isnt oping with the death of her brother (who drowned in April) and HER mother is a basket case still also and she struggling to deal with her...THEN to top it off SIL is living with them while she is having martial probs (hubby is living out of town with a new job, she was ment to have moved by now too but hasnt) And so HE (who none of us can stand) has been coming to stay at MIL house each weekend and creating all sorts of issues, also when he is in the other town 6hrs drive away, he is constantly ringing and stressing everyone out!!!....ITS JUST A MESS!!!

Anyway getting away this weekend was well needed....BUT the place they had jacked up to stay at fell through last min....SO with 1 1/2 days notice I was on the hunt for a bach for them to go stay at, that we could afford to pay for!!!!
I found one, then thought it would be nice to make it a surprise for her and make it fun!!!! WHY I DO THESES THINGS I DONT KNOW....well I do know really, its because MIL expects sooooo much of us and gets really *****y if no-one plans anything for her....GGRRRRRR.....so the last 4yrs Ive worked my *** off to do something special for her bday...
SO I made it a game....left a flower and card on her kitchen bench saying......

"This is the first of many surprises, so hold onto your knickers it could get bumpy...you will be receiving txts this afternoon with instructions that you MUST follow"

She got that at lunch time....Then I came home and did up a photo slide show, which was really painful as I had 3 kids at home, a really ****ty programme that kept crashing, I uploaded 160 3x before I gave up and downloaded a new programme.....AND I only had access to my photos and photos of the other family member via FB that I had to steal from there....LONG PROCESS....
I got it done in the end and was super happy with it....
I then had to get the hamper of yummy food and wine we had packed for them out to their house and the slide show, which I ended up just setting up on my laptop and taking that out there....
Had to get my SIL to come to my place to watch the 3 kids, race out to their house, only to find MIL had put the bloody cows up the second half of the driveway!!!!!...It was raining and muddy (and I only had my slippers on) and I HATE COWS!!!!....the second you open the gate they charge at you (well the gate really) so you have to be super fast to open the gate, get in the car, move it through the gate and shut it before they get past and escape!!!!....NO IMPRESSED!!!....
I drove up to the next gate and thought stuff that Im not even going to attempt to open that gate as the cows were standing at it and if they got through that gate, they can get into the house yard and they trample her gardens and eat everything....SOOOOO I unloaded the hamper and laptop, CLIMBED the gate and had to run the last 3rd of the drive holding it all in the rain in my slippers!!!!! AND I was running out of time she was only 5mins away from home!!!!....nothing like leaving it till the last min aye!!!
Just about arsed up on the grass running around to the back door as thats the only key I had....set it up inside....HAHAHA Oh and get this, Im so unfit, my calves sezied up from the run HAHAHAHA....
RAN back to the car, climbed the gate, had to back the whole length of the drive, open the other gate again and back the rest of the drive.....
I TELL YA IF THINGS COULD GO WRONG THEY DID!!!!
Then I continued to send her txts step by step....during the aftenoon....

THEN last night I found out from SIL that MIL was a ***** when she got home and was all crying and moping etc, didnt get a thankyou or anything (I think shes in depression to be honest) hence a weekend away will be good....

BUT I SOMETIMES WONDER WHY I BOTHER!!!!.....I was an F'ing train wreak last night, my kids were totally neglected all yesterday, I didnt get ANY work done around my place....Ive been having NO sleep....And thats the thanks I get.....GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR

Wow that was a story and a half HAHAHAHA.....I spose I needed to vent, Im jsut so angry about it....ANYWAY thats the last time I try so hard to make her happy, IM DONE!!!! So is Andy and SIL, we are over it!!!!
