Kim, what I have found is the rip off ones are never as good as the real ones, they just arent made of firm enough fabric andthe fabric gives out after time....better off to pay the bigger $ as much as it may hurt the bank account....
SOOO GLAD YOU ARE STARTING YOUR SHOPPING SPREE ......take photos for me......HAHAHA Maybe not in the spanxs HAHAHA but in the clothes you find I cant wait to see!!!!!!!
Kim its nasty here too. Bleh. I'm just grateful that it held off until the end of June. DH says it was like this in April last year.
I'm super excited for tonight! We are going on a REAL date. I've got my sexy, slinky black dress all laid out and dying to get ready. I've cleaned the house, done laundry, read and I'm about to spend hours getting ready. It's the first date I've actually really been able to dress up. Our first date was to a concert and the 2nd was to dinner after disneyland.
This weekend was our 6th anniversary. We made it out to dinner and bought my birthday present. Nike running watch with the shoe thing to measure distance and time/pace.
Please pray for DH and I. He got a call from his aunt this weekend. DH's uncle went to check on DH's mom Friday night. She was admitted to the ER last Wednesday for dizziness, but released quickly...my guess is because she wasn't in a life threatening situation, and she doesn't have insurance. On Friday, she wasn't home. DH's uncle wasn't available to check on her on Saturday, so he went by on Sunday. DH's mom answered the door naked and wasn't sure where she was, where the dog was, or where her car was. The car was in the driveway, and the dog was in the back yard. We're not sure what is going to happen to her. She lives 1 1/2 hours away, so we can't check on her on a daily basis. We can't have her move in with us, because that would disorientate her even more since she grew up in the same town. DH's uncle is an over the road truck driver and isn't often home. DH's aunt and DH's mom don't get along so we can't have her check on his mom. It's going to be a tough situation to figure out...
Kim - could she qualify for medicaid or medicare? She may be able to get home health services, lifeline, or other services. It sounds like more than just dizziness happened. Sending prayers your way.
I talked to my mom about the situation this morning and she thinks there is more to it also. We've been told that DH's grandfather was in the early stages of Alzheimer's when he passed away. My mom thinks that DH's mom might be in the early stages of Alzheimer's. She was in a car accident a few years ago and has definitely been different since then.
Amy - Happy belated anniversary. Hope you had a wonderful time.
Kim - Praying for you guys. I hope you can figure out what's going on with MIL and get her the help she needs.
Had another "playdate" with DH's x, we are on a twice a week schedule. I'm still very cautious, but it is so nice to get out with another adult and all the kids love getting to see each other more. At times its still very odd then other times I almost forget who she is and its fun. Guess we will see how it goes.
