    Default Father's Day

I know it's over a month away but does anyone have any great gift ideas???? Last year DH got a combined b-day/father's day gift, a new grill. This year he's getting an autographed book for his b-day and I have NO idea what to get him for Father's Day. I'll be real honest, my mother's day "gift" was kind of a joke...as in he went out last minute and just grabbed something. I don't know if I should bestow the same type to him or show him up like none other.

Other then the date night last night my gift was also last minute. I was thinking of doing the same to him.. but then this morning he told me he can't find his wedding ring. He is so upset that he can't find it. He normally leaves it on his nightstand in our room. Joshua loves to play with anything on either of our nightstands. So this year I am thinking to make/get him a manly looking jewelry box and maybe to replace his wedding ring.

I was thinking of doing a photobook for DH to take with him, but since I didn't even get a Happy Mothers day I'm thinking of not making a big deal about Father's Day.

Savannah will be his gift for the day - pick her up in the morning and drop her off at bedtime!!! Along with whatever gift she makes for him at school.

I haven't even thought about it. . .as a mother, I really just wanted a good day where everybody was happy. I don't think he will be as content with that. I was thinking of giving him the day off to go fishing or do whatever he wants, but I haven't made any concrete decisions.

Amy I was kind of thinking about that too. He's always complaining that he "doesn't get to go do what he wants to do" so I'm thinking about letting him go do what he wants. LOL!

I got Bob this cute recordable book I got at Walmart, where the kids can record their responses to cues in the book. I haven't done it yet, but it looks really cute. I haven't decided if I'm doing anything other than that yet. We went to Disney World for Mother's Day, so I definitely can't top that

I have a couple of ideas for Father's Day. I think DH would appreciate some "him" time to go ride his motorbike etc. As a gift option, I'm looking into getting him a camera that he can mount to his motorbike. I've been doing lots of researching and I think I've figured out which one. I don't even know if he's working that day or not, I guess I should check.

I already got Blair his gift a timbuk2 messenger bag: http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/...messenger-bags

But that's probably only cool for the Dad who is going to school and riding his bike in the City ....
Last year I gave him the gift of a day all to himself and August & I left town and visited friends. That's not happening this year I'm not brave enough (yet) to travel any distance alone with the two kids. So he gets a bag. LOL.
