    Default Healthy Living Thread

I've started this thread because it is part of a mini challenge for us ladies that are doing the Biggest Loser Challenge. We will be posting here throughout the week (well, what's left of this week) and everyone on the board is more than welcome to share your thoughts. As the title states, healthy living. I would love to get feedback from everyone on what healthy living habits you have and what healthy habits you would like to add into your life.

    I'll start...

A healthy habit that I have is eating breakfast each and every day. I have done this since I was young and have always continued to do it. I believe that breakfast is vitally important in starting out your day right. You definitely need to fuel your body for the day. I can see why some cultures eat their biggest meals in the morning and their smallest meals in the evening. It doesn't really make sense to eat a huge amount of food to only go to bed a few hours later.

A healthy habit I wish I could encompass would be balance. I wish I could find balance in my life to maintain a realistic exercise routine, a healthy diet, etc. I'm the kind of person where I'm all in or all out. I want to find and maintain some middle ground.

The healthy living habit I already have (most of the time) is drinking tons of water. I drink 2-3 liters a day normally. When I first started BLC I started with the water and have kept it up ever since.

The healthy living habit I need to get better about is exercise. I don't know why but I really struggle with getting my rear in gear and exercising. I'll do a couple things here and there (squats while folding laundry, arm curls while cooking dinner) but nothing formal.

A healthy habit I have is eating breakfast every morning and going to bed at the same time every night. Sleep/ routine is super important to me

A habit i need to work on is kicking my soda habit. I don't drink coffee, but I drink diet coke from morning to night. I actually had my first day without diet coke today and I survived, lol. It will save a lot of money too if I give it up.

I'd also like to get into a better habit of exercise. I feel physically weak and it's making me crazy.

My healthy habits are breakfast every morning, I drink mostly water (aside from my 16oz cup coffee in the morning), i cook mostly from scratch and rarely eat out.

    I need to exercise. period.

I haven't talked about diet and exercise in awhile! Glad to see y'all are still doing BLC!!

I'm going to challenge myself this week to accomplish one healthy habit. For me, that would be to get back to drinking 8 cups of water per day. I've been really slack on this lately. Anybody else want to make a goal for the week?

My goal is to get back to tracking my food I eat. I lose weight when I do it, and when I don't do it I gain weight. Crazy how I KNOW this, yet I continue to make bad decisions.

Good luck with the water Lindsey. I got a dishwasher safe water bottle that hold 4 cups of water. I fill it up whenever it's empty and I run it in the dishwasher everytime I run a load (at least daily). It seems to be working for me, especially giving up diet coke.
