Did you ever steal anything when you were a kid or as a grown up?

Garlic & Wine Seasoning From the Melting Pot. The restaurant that we normally go to was closing, we figured they wouldn't miss it.
Um, okay I have to admit that I went through a shoplifting phase when I was in high school for a few months. Several of my friends got caught, which gave me the kick in the butt I needed to knock it off. Though I did accidentally steal a wallet from target once because it was when Braden was a baby, and when I got to my car I realized it was still sitting in the cart unpaid for. It was pretty cold, and I did not feel like walking him all the way back into the store, so I figured they would probably be ok. :oops:
This has happened to me a couple times when Joshua would go shopping himself. He really likes to ride in the carts that look like cars in the front. He has taken things at his level while I was shopping. The 1st 2 times I didn't notice until I was loading him and our other bags in the car. I did take the items back b/c even thou he is little I didnt want him to think it was ok to do. The 1st time the clerk thought I had 4 heads as I was trying to take the items back. From now on when he rides in this type of cart I make sure I look to see if he has anything before we check out.Quote:

Lexi hasn't done it at the store but she is bad at garage/yard sales!!! For some reason I quite often get her in the car and she'll have books, little stuffed animals, dolls, etc. I'm trying really hard to get it to stop but don't know how to make her understand that it's the same as being at a store. When we're at the store she likes to put the stuff on the check out so I know nothing gets missed!
Hehe, yeah, this is why I still make Jenna stay home with DH when I go to yard sales. Having an older child, I still get the benefit of having a yard sale partner :)Quote:

From then on in I just took what I wanted...Stuff for school (you know the flash stuff everyone else had, that mum wouldnt buy for me) Usually just little things tho that I could fit in my hand or pocket...the soft toys were the biggest...
With the same friend as the soft toys, her mum owned a fish and chip shop and they had a smoke rack...OLD SCHOOL open one (again we are going back 22-23 years) And she would get her mum talking while I swiped a few packs of smokes for us...:rolleyes:
I also stole money from my mums handbag to buy lollies and smokes....She used to leave it hanging on her dinning room table chair...and if I shut the hallway door early in the morning I could get into it without getting caught...She soooo mustve known, I know I would if Zoe was stealling from me...but she never said anything and never got caught...
I also used to steal money from dad too....MAN Im feelign really bad HAHAHA...he used to put all his change at the end of the day under his mattress (this is going back to the days before money cards and people used cash) so he had ALTO...I would do a sweep under his matress when I needed some money for smokes...
WOW what a horrid child I was!!!!!! And to think I wasnt the worst child my parents had HAHAHAHA...
Oh and I used to steal food from our pantry at night...I LOVE FOOD...so I would sneak into the pantry while mum and dad where in there armchairs and steal chocolate biscuits and chocolate and take it to my bedroom so when I went to bed at night, I could eat it all YUM YUM!!!
I stole a few boyfriends too LOL....
I never got caught...probably why I did it...I did grow out of the stealing from shops part but the money from mum and dad, well that was up until I had a job and earnt enough money to keep me going in lollies and smokes...so about 15...Ummmm maybe just the odd $5 here and there to put petrol in dads car when I used it...
Oh nad speakig of dads car...I stole that too a few times HAHAHAHAHA......hmmmmmmmmmmm the things I have to look forward to with my kids aye...and to think I was a good girl compared to the boys father!!!!!!!
