Daily Thread Aug 17th

Hello everyone! I'm a tired Mama today! Ry was up last night saying his ear hurt and of course Jakey and Emma got up as well and Jakey just would not go back to sleep! I'm off this morning to train for my new very casual part time job taking pics for an online consignment site! Pretty excited - hopefully I can stay awake Wink We are suppose to go and do some back to school shopping for the big kids today but we'll see how Ryan feels. He hates shopping so I'm sure he'll play up how much the ear hurts to get out of it LOL!

Exciting Melissa!!! Good luck and you will do great! I hope there is no drama during your shopping trip.

We had dinner with our friends who just moved back from Texas. The DD is staying with us for 3 nights. She is Sophia's BFF so they are so excited to be together. Just got back from a walk and may go for a swim after dinner if they weather holds. Not sure about that though.

Melissa, I hope Ryan is feeling better. How did your training go?
Sam, sounds like a lovely way to end the summer. Smile

Well I'm counting the days till school starts. LOL 10 weeks is just too long! The kids need to be back in a routine and so do I. Getting a Y membership in 2 weeks when I return from my work trip. Then hopefully we can all burn off steam after work and school days! Otherwise just keeping busy with work. I seem to keep adding projects...!

Melissa, hope you get some rest later today!

Samantha, I know Sophia will have a blast with her BFF!

Christa, when does school start for you all?

I'm peeking back in...I've missed you all! I can't believe July '03 is still going strong Smile . We're all doing good here...school starts on Wednesday (yay!!!), and I'll have a 4th grader, 5th grader and a freshman in high school  . It's been an incredibly busy summer, and extremely hot for Chicago. Today it's in the 70s and lovely.

I started selling Thirty-one bags/totes/purses in January, and today we had our "celebrate and connect" meeting. It's always a great chance to share ideas, plus we always get a freebie. And I won a hostess exclusive bag in the raffle, so it was really a win-win Smile . The boys are participating in a Kid's Marathon with our local marathon/half marathon/20 miler, so today they had a fun run to get some additional miles for their log. They've had to cancel over half of them because it was just way too hot earlier this summer. I'll be running the Half marathon in 4 weeks...yikes!

Carolyn, good to see you again. Smile School starts for us on Wednesday as well. Meet the Teacher is Monday night. Evan is beside himself with excitement that he finally gets to go to big kid school with his brother. We are beside ourselves with excitement that they will both be gone 6 hours a day! LOL!

I'm right there with you Christa! I was so, so happy when all three boys were in school full-day. I only had one year with all three at one school. This year two of them are in elementary school, and Thomas will be in high school. Next year I'll have one at elementary, one at middle, and a high schooler!

I think this is the longest daily in awhile. I will start a new one in the morning.
