I just announced to my families that I am taking a day off and not for any reason than to be alone and relax. I have a PE at 9am so I could work most of the day but I'm not. I will come home put on my jammies and read. I might even bring home something from Panera's for lunch and order in for dinner too. I NEVER take a day off for no reason and this time I am doing it. I am sure someone will complain because I just took time off for Nana's funeral but that really wasn't a day off. It was stressful. And they all docked me the pay except one family so I feel like they can deal with this.

We just went to the High School again for an information meeting about the Mac Book program that Sophia will be a part of next year. Basically every kid buys their own Mac Book. It's financed over the 4 years and then we can buy it for a $1 plus tax. I have NEVER owned a new computer but Sophia will have her own Mac Book at 14. It gets to come home with her and is basically hers while we pay it off. These kids are expensive these days. My mom bought us NOTHING for school. We just went.

So I am doing some research on showers. We are about to start the job of rehabbing the downstairs, starting with the bathroom. We want something very nice because we aren't doing this again. Any ideas ladies?

I'm so glad you are taking a day for yourself. Sounds like you need it. How wonderful that Sophia is getting a Mac Book! It's a little scary to think of the expenses and responsibilities that go along with school these days. I've got no shower ideas. We are living in an old house with old stuff I'm trying to ignore. Let us know what you decide!
    *hugs*

Sam, yay for you for taking a day off. You deserve it. There's a couple of daycare parents that I have that always make me feel guilty for taking a day off and it makes me so mad. So how was your day?
A macbook, wow. And highschool, wow! I bet Sophia is super responsible and will take great care of it, I'd be afraid to get Dylan one.

What are you thinking about so for your shower?

Samantha I want something really nice for a shower because we are doing this once. I am not looking for one of those molded plastic ones but I dont know if I want to go the route of framing and having John do tons of work on a tiled wall. And I don't even know if want tile. I want a different material I think. I was kind of hoping they made something already pre- made but NOT the plastic? We also want some great shower heads. I don't know. I'm not sure what is out there and when I search I get plastic walls or just doors and you do the rest. HELP!

We have tile in our shower and I hate it. It's a pain to clean. We also have shower doors that I hate too! We're actually having Home Depot come out Monday and give us some options to replace our doors. I'll let you know what they say!

One of our showers has ceramic tile and glass tile in it in the kids bathroom. Except it is also a bath. I love the look. Don't love the cleaning, but I hate cleaning regardless of what it is. lol. The tiles are pretty big (24"x12")so not a ton of work. Even the glass tile comes in 12"x12" sections. The grout lines are really thin too.
In our bathroom we have just the plastic base with tile.
We have 'raindropper' showerheads and I really like those.

This is a really old picture, so it's unfinished. But you get the idea.
