How was Luke's and Sophia's appointments today?

Oh sorry girls! Thanks Brandi! Yes I have just been going since Friday and havent really sat down. Everything went well. Luke actually doesnt need to be followed at all!!! They did another EKG while we were in the office and it was fine. She was going back one more time to review the U/S (which I got the impression she never really looked at and that was a bit offputting) and make sure but she felt certain it will resolve. Now that said, if my pedi thinks it sounds weird again I am going to see another cardio. But I did feel pretty good about the fact that the office EKG was normal and her exam didnt make her alarmed. So we will leave it at that for now. I was so happy when we left the office. We took him IHOP for the first time in his life and he was happy to drink all the strawberry milk the waitress could serve.

Sophia does have flat feet. We knew that. The arch does rebound when she is on her tiptoes so that is good I guess though it doesnt help her ankles or her knees. SOOOOO we have an appt to have arch supports made. That should make her foot hold the arch which will support her ankle and knee. I was warned these could run about $400. The good news is that they wont be ready until the new year so my flex spending account will be replenished. Whew!

So that is how it went. No surgeries all the way around which is what I wanted to hear. If Sophia's supports dont work and her pain is bad then there could be surgery down the road but I feel hopeful that this is going to be fine.
