    Default Weekend Thread

Hello girlies! I've been so crazy busy with work though its all changing in January so it'll free up more time, less money though but i'm just putting it all towards Xmas anyways! Emma turned 3 yesterday so we celebrated that and now onto Jacob's birthday and then Xmas - busy, busy, busy! I've had zero time for working out and after looking at pics of Emma's birthday, I soooo need to find time BLAH!

Happy birthday, Emma! Melissa, I hope having more time will add to your happiness.
I've been doing cleaning, decorating, and holiday stuff all day. We've begun our annual gingerbread house; kids HATE waiting for the house to dry before decorating. I'm going to have to escape the house to grade essays and exams in an hour or so.
    Have a wonderful weekend, all.

    Happy Birthday Emma!
GOod luck finding some place quiet ML.

OK well. I got that food processor. I did not buy the case to hold all the blades. Silly me. THey are super sharp and shouldn't be loose in the cabinets. I order the case. In the meantime I put the mixing blades all inside the food processor bowl with the lid on tight so no one can cut themselves. Sophia helps me in the kitchen yesterday. I tell her to read the instructions for the machine. She decides to power up the machine first. Can you see where I am going with this? Plug it in. CHeck. Turn on the power. Check and HOLY CRAP! On isnt a power button on is ON! Yup. All the loose blades start whirling around with the set blade chopping all the loose ones. I get it shut off and find the 3 blades and the bowl all broken and damaged. Yup. SO I never got to use the machine and barely got it shut down before it bounced off the counter and attacked the entire family. SOoooo now I have ordered new parts to the tune of $93 which could have been worse. And I managed to be a good mom and not freak on Sophia because it was a mistake and partly my fault.

After that I took Nana out and celebrated her 95 birthday which was yesterday! We already had the party but I took her out just the two of us for dinner. She loved it and then came home to flowers at her door that I sent her. 95. Wow.

TOday is the huge family party. I did all the cooking yesterday so I am all set. Should be fun! See you guys MOnday!

Poor Sophia, and poor Sam! I'm glad the lid was on tight--who knows what could've happened!
Happy birthday, Nana. Enjoy the party, Sam.
    I'm still grading...
