~*~*Daily August 3*~*~
Good morning. N's friend coming over in 45 minutes--have to finish picking up the floors so they have somewhere to play! Then N has afternoon daycamp. Ava and I will do errands, then more errands with N afterward. Dave goes in for a sleep study after dinner tonight to see if he needs a CPAP for apnea. We already know he does. :(
ML, that machine is crazy! My mom has sleep apnea and has a mouth piece she wears instead! Have him look into it!
Ahhh...quiet house! Kids are back in school. Getting up in the morning hasn't been the easiest! I'm kinda glad they only had 3 days this week...they're wiped! Tyler didn't even want to go to Tae Kwon Do last night! I'm going to see how it goes the next couple of weeks with him. I may pull him out until he gets used to the school schedule, then try again.
Haircut and chriopractor for me today! Gotta get moving so I can get out of here on time...I've been moving SLOW!
ML John has the CPAP. We tried everything else. John wants me to tell you a few things about the machine. First of all dont give up on it. THe first week is tough. You need to get used it. YOu also need to learn how to put the mask on properly. He wasnt really putting it on right at first and it was REALLY uncomfortable but with some adjusting he got it perfectly. Lastly the doc put the air up way too high. John got home and couldnt breathe because it was like sticking your head out the car window while going 80 on the highway. Once they put that down a bit he could breathe normally.
Now that he has stuck to it he says its the best thing he ever did. His sleep is TONS better. He never knew how exhausted he was and why. Now he sees and feels much better. One night he didnt put it on and had a terrible night sleep and woke up so tired. He says its totally worth all the effort. Good luck!
Brandi good luck getting everyone back on track.
Thank you for the info, Sam. That's all good to know. The sleep study went fine, DAve said. The clinician said she was sure he'd be back because he snored "excessively loudly." I could've told her that. So he'll go back to get the CPAP outfitted after the doc has looked at this results. I let him read your note so he'd know what he could expect. :)
