Appt yesterday - x posted

I had a u/s, NST and OB appt yesterday at 31 weeks 6 days.

Baby A (Easton) is measuring 33 weeks and 4 lbs 9 oz. He is head down. His head is far into my pelvis right on top of my cervix. The u/s techs were having difficulty getting good measurements. They couldn't get my cervix measurement or his head measurement well.

Baby B (Ashton) is measuring 32 weeks 3 days and 4 lbs 6 ozs. He is breech. He is sitting on baby A's head. Baby B's head is up in my ribs.

They are side by side with A on my left and B on my right. This is the first time they have not been the same direction. They are both in their growth curves and slightly higher than average.

My usual u/s tech was training someone yesterday so it took forever to get measurements. They wanted this girl to practice on large size twins as they are not common at our hospital and they are difficult to get good readings. Unfortunatley it meant a long time on my back (which hurt and I couldn't breath) and no good pics. Usually my u/s tech tries to get some good face shots for me at the end but there wasn't much time. The usual tech did try to get some shots for me at the end for like a minute. She got a profile of baby A and about a quarter of baby a's face in 3D. I like it better when the u/s tech is focused on the patient instead of training someone else.

The NST went fine, both babies look great and I had no contractions this time.

OB appt was quick. They did not do a belly measurment so I have no idea how big I am. Even with medication I am still having problems with my fasting blood sugar numbers so they doubled the dose of medication I take at night. My regular dr was on vacation this week, so I look forward to her being back at my next appt on Monday.

I am just now starting to get the feeling these babies are coming and I need to start getting ready for them (feeling the need to nest). So I guess it is time to get moving.

Glad everything looked good. Sorry about the long ultrasound. I hate being the guinea pig for something. I hope the blood sugar issues level out for you.

I'm so sorry that you had to lay there for all of that. That sounds aggravating.

Love that the babies have moved into position for birth, that is fantastic!

Glad things looked good. Sorry you had to deal with the u/s tech training someone. At my first u/s, my OB was getting trained on a new u/s machine and we got really crappy pictures (but he made up for it later). Anyway, good luck with the nesting bug Wink

I'm glad the boys are doing well!! I'm sorry about the tech thing-- I can relate, our hospital is a teaching hospital and it can sometimes be frustrating..
