Stephanie's sewing projects & Pamela's handmade headbands/holder have inspired me to share some of my finished projects
(But don't ask me how many are left on my to-do list!!)
(And I need to share them as I go next time because this is a LOT of photos!!)
A "nest" thing for newborn photos-- I'm letting 2 of my friends "practice" on my baby and one of my more seasoned photog friends is doing NB photos for us as a gift as well!
A funky little hat (tiny, so also just for photos probably!):
Not very impressive, but here's some little labels for the "changing table" bins:
DH didn't let me help much on this project, although I directed him every step of the way Bookshelf with toy-bin:
Book "shelves" that attach to the wall. DH and I each made one:
We worked on this nightstand together-- not sure if it will fit in the baby's room once we get a glider in there or if we'll squeeze it into the living room for holding baby stuff (diapers, burp cloths, etc.)
Used scrap-wood from those (and other) projects to make some Very Hungry Caterpillar decorations-- just had DH drill holes and mod-podged bits from an old used copy of the book:
A little fabric basket that I thought I'd use to hold diaper stuff, but not so sure anymore.
Here's what I made to replace it (from old CD cases)--but I think I'm still looking for an alternative!
Pee-pee Teepees/Wee-wee Wigwams, whatever you want to call them. My mom and I saw them at the store for over $10! I used scrap fabric and it took me about 20 min. to make 8 of them....so it doesn't even matter to me if I use them or not!
Very Hungry Caterpillar hat & "cocoon" for newborn photos-- still need to add antennae to the hat!
Pumpkin hat (a little bigger, so hopefully will fit just right in the fall!):
Another hat for newborn photos:
Some longies for over cloth diapers:
A mini-scrapbook that I just need to fill in a monthly picture:
Very Hungry Caterpillar quilt (my first attempt at a quilt!) Front:
I embroidered the fruits from the story on the back:
Burp Cloths (4 of the 8 that I made):
Bean Bag Bookends (this isn't really how they're arranged on the shelf, just put them together for the picture!)
