Cramping?

I woke up at 1am this morning with really bad cramps. I know that cramping is pretty common in the first couple months when everything is stretching out, but I have never had them this bad! They were pretty low, like really bad menstrual cramps. I was really worried at first, but I got up to go to the bathroom and they went away. Baby has been moving lots today still, so I'm not totally freaking out!! Anyone know what that could have been??

TMI:

maybe a bad case of the runs?? gas?? I've been super crampy this pregnancy, compared to DS and NORMALLY I don't have issues with BM's, but lately it's been bad. ANYTHING I eat makes my stomach feel like crap! Sad

hmmmm....i do know that if i have a full bladder, i get kinda 'crampy'/pressure feeling..... i pee and then it's better. I wouldn't say they are 'bad cramps' though...it's more uncomfortable then anything...... Can you call ur Dr and just see what they say if they come back?

I've been having them, too! Tonight it's gas/constipation, boooooo. I also cramp up when I have to peepee. What's really been making it bad are the hip pains, especially on my left side. Oh, those have been awful! Hope you feel better, my love!

I haven't had them yet this pregnancy but I just happened to be reading my journal from my last pregnancy & I had them really bad my whole 3rd tri. I remember sometimes they were almost as bad as my horrific PMS cramps but just much shorter-lived. HTH. If you are too freaked or they seem to be happening a lot, call your doc and they can probably do an NST or u/s to make sure they aren't affecting baby.

So sorry, that would be hard. I would think that since it was better after you pee'd that it might have been something to do with that... hope it doesn't happen again.

I've had them and usually just getting up and standing or walking gets them to go away. It's probably nothing, but I agree if they keep happening or get worse you should call the dr.

Yesterday morning I woke up with horrible cramps. Sounds gross...but if I passed gas they'd feel better for a little while. I think it was the pressure building up. The pain was bad enough that I was up from about 4:30-5:30 with it. At first I was concerned because it felt more along my c-section scar. But after being up about 20 minutes...I began to make the correlation.

Hopefully yours is nothing to worry about. Just the fact that it went away after you got up and moved is a good sign.

same here. not good to have a full bladder while pregnant, makes you contract.

Sounds like braxtion hicks to me. I get them too and walking or peeing makes them stop. They are the worst after sex. If I am needing to have a BM I get more of my cramps in my back and if I have to pee they are low frount like PMS, if it is a BH contraction it is more like at the top of my belly and moves down. Could you feel your belly get tight on the outside with your hands or was it just crampy inside?
