I failed...

I failed 1 hr glucose test. I didn't just fail slightly, I bombed it. My number was 179 Sad

I had my regular OB appt yesterday and they snuck in the glucose test. I didn't think I was going to have to do it yesterday because I was the last appt of the day and I knew they wouldn't be around for the blood draw. But they made me drink it and then go to the emergency room to get my blood draw an hour later. I knew I didn't eat well yesterday, so it is no big surprise. However, now I have to do the 3 hr - yuck.

I also have to go back today and get my Rh shot.

My dr also told me everything looked great but she has reconsidered not doing the NST twice a week. The more she thought about it the more she thought I better. She said she would just rather be safe than sorry. So starting the beginning of June I will have an NST on Monday and an OB appt and NST on Thursdays. Plus I still have 2 more u/s to do -one in June (32 weeks) and one in July (36 weeks). That is a lot of appts.

:bigarmhug: I know exactly how you feel about all the appointments! I was journaling with DS and I remember writing at like 32 ish weeks how I only had like 5 appointments left until he was born.. then at 34 weeks that number changed to like 12 appointments (I was having appointments 3x's per week! 2 NST/1 ob all on different days!) I feel ya on that one!

:bigarmhug: about the glucose! Sad I haven't even taken mine yet! Stupid military.. I'm going to try to get in this week sometime to do it though (I have to call the lab and make sure the order is still in the system since my doctor told me to hold off and NOT do it at 28 weeks and now all the sudden he's like GET IT DONE NOW! ugh whatever..) Hopefully your 3 hour isn't too bad for you!!

Sorry you failed & have to do the 3-hour Sad What a pain!

That is a TON of appointments but I'm sure it'll be well worth it if they did find something worth monitoring down the road, KWIM? Hang in there *hugs*

Ugh. So sorry that you failed the glucose test. I'll cross my fingers that the 3-hr goes better. Of course you probably didn't need one more "appointment" to go to.

At least you don't have to start all those NST's right now. Too bad he won't let you do just one a week for a little further into June.

That is a lot of appointments. However, safe is always better than sorry, although not fun nor easy. Sorry.

:bigarmhug: hang in there..... the 3 hr wasn't that bad...i was VERY tired though and ended up going home from work after about an hour...i just couldn't stay awake. Def. bring a book or something to help pass the time, i brought my crochet stuff... I hope you pass, but if you don't, it's really not the worst thing in the world...it's a little overwhelming in the begining, but once you get the hang of things and how much of the carbs you can eat, it's pretty easy. Smile hang in there and i hope you pass!!
