I hate our car seat!

Grr Arerggg!

We got this fancy shamncy car seat for half off due to the open box and I HATE IT. It's HUGE and bulky and does not fit INTO ANYTHING generic. (no snap'n go, no sit n' stands, NO travel systems) You have to buy the fancy shamncy stroller to go with it for $200 stinkin' bucks! Which is NOT about to happen since it's only a single stroller. I hate travel systems anyway (but a snap 'n go would be nice). It wouldn't even fit into a double stroller! I'm so frustrated with it and I get worked up just thinking about taking Aubree alone somewhere that I have to carrier her in the stupid seat. It's a great car seat don't get me wrong; it's just making me mad how un-versatile it is!

Okay rant over! Thanks for listening hahah!

That sucks! I forgot my stroller one time while clothes shopping, i was dead tired from lugging Brayden around in his carseat.....do you have a baby carrier you could use instead of the carseat?

Bummer!! We have a "cheap" Baby Trend and I love it but it doesn't seem to be the most comfortable seat as both of my babies haven't been huge fans of sitting in it.

I sympathize with you! My ILs bought us a travel system, without waiting for me to go have a look at it and give the thumbs up like I told MIL when she showed it to me(they got it from Costco).

I couldn't stand it! It sucked so bad. I got rid of the infant carrier pretty quick because DS grew so fast, but I have been using the stroller for the past 2 years and cursing it every time. It is hard to steer, doesn't always latch when you open it  and just generally drives me crazy. Finally I just recently bought a 3 wheeler off Craig's List, and I can't believe I waited this long.

Personally I would cut your losses, and go find one that you LOVE!

If my SIL happens to get pg before the carseat expires, she's getting the travel system HAHAHA! If we end up having a 3rd, I'll go get a new one. Free is not always better lol.

I do have one; I use a sling I'm borrowing from a friend right now; It works well for short trips, but for the longer ones it was really tough on my shoulders (I wore her at a museum). I've talked to DH about either investing into a new carrier (mei tai or something), or a new double stroller.

We got a double from my aunt; the HUGE graco ones and it's HUGE. Can't handle it haha. So I'm currently looking at a smaller more compact double or a sit and stand. I have a Graco snug-ride seat that we were given so that is what I can use IF I can sell the other seat.

We paid $90 for it (safety 1st onboard 35 or whatever) and the cheapest I can find it is $140. And considering we've used it for 5 weeks, literally a handful of times, I think I could get most of my money back.. and not really even my money; we had a gift card. Sooo.. all in all, I would just like to cut my loss and move on.

if you like the Moby wrap idea, you can look on line for the directions and make your own. will cost you like 1/2 of what the "Moby" wrap would cost you for the same idea. and you get 2 for the price of one.
its like 6ft of material for teh length and you cut it at where the fold is and voila, 2 wraps, no sewing and cheaper than the original.

I don't love the wraps that's the problem. I get frustrated haha! But they are very easy to make Smile I know lots of mama's who do it!

I hate our car seat, first off he screams in it and them he gets hot. We could not use it on the stroller even if we wanted to because if he is awake he is crying when in it (fun for trips to VT let me tell you) I have a few wraps and refuse to lug that thing around. The stroller for the system is at Bills I can't use it at home because I need Heath in an umbrella stroller since he still can't walk well.

Moby wrap I love it and it dose not hurt at all as it puts the wight of them all over you. Nice for long trips and covering them up when you breastfeed.
Karmababy water sling and another one (it's in the car I'll have to look at what it is) I love them for short in and out trips.
Maya wrap ring sling, this was the first I ever had and I think it was more of a learing curve then the rest.
Ergo is the best for all types of trips, and Daddy friendly.

We go grocery shopping and Bill puts Heath on his back in the Ergo and I put simon on me in the sling.

He wanted to bucket car seat because that is all he knows but after about a week of lugging it around and seeing me with the slings he says "sling the baby and I'll get Heath" I like that he thinks putting the Ergo with the toddler in it is better then the bucket carseat with the new born because that is how easy the Ergo is and it feels like a book bag with good shoulder padding so the child is not heavy at all.

I have a Jeep double that I bought off my local classifieds in almost new condition and it is such a beast to push, but my DD wouldn't stay still in a sit 'n stand yet so I decided it was worth it for now & then I'll just get a double umbrella when she's bigger. But it is less bulky than the Graco ones.

Maybe you could resell the carseat for what you paid? that would be a steal for anyone who wants that seat & knows what it costs. ITA with what others have said that you need to get one you really like.

if you have interest in a double stroller, look into the Kolcraft Contours tandem. it'll hold your seat.

I highly recommend an Ergo carrier. They are a bit pricey and you have to buy an infant insert for the first 4 months or so, but definitely worth it and they can be used for a long time... up to 40 pounds and can become a back carrier as well. I just started wearing Roman (just around the house, I am not giong in public yet) and it is incredibly comforable for both of us. It has support in all the right places so no one gets sore. It's the only reason I am able to actually get on today and do some posting!
