Last month without babies?

Do you realize May is probably our last month without babies on this board? Even though we aren't due until July, it's likely at least 1 of us will pop in June. Isn't it crazy to think we're here already?!?!

Oh yes, it is really strange to think how close we are really getting. I'm hoping we don't have a single one in May and I'm guessing we will have several in June Wink

I keep thinking it will be Pam that has hers first. I am due the first week in July but I don't expect to go early or even on time as my last 2 where a week late. And OMG I was at dinner last night with family and my cousin had her DD 5 weeks early, and was like if yours is as early as mine you could have him in your arms in 2 weeks!!!

Her DD was 100% healthy at 35 weeks and was 5lbs 9oz. Only issue they endded up having was her sleeping so much that she was never good at breastfeeding so she pumpped for the 6 weeks until she went back to work. NO WAY am I having this baby in 2 weeks. 4 weeks would even be to close for me I would like to atleast get my kids out of school. On top of that Bill is going to be out of town (not just VT but he is going to KY from May 27th -30th) I can not have the baby before June I refuse Smile

But I look so huge no one things I will go to term. Only the baby knows when it is ready so we will have to just what he things is right. All I know is it won't be more then 9 weeks max!!

Totally!! Let's try to be the board with the fewest babies born before 37 weeks, alright??
That said, I am getting much closer to the "I want her out NOW" stage every day...

I'm doing my best to not have this baby early, but I have started having a few contractions that really hurt every day. I'm hoping that they are not actually doing anything. I will see on Friday when I have another ultrasound to check my cervical length. I'm just really happy to still be pregnant because I thought I would have the baby at 30 weeks again. I am so happy that no one else has had their LO yet. Having a preemie is not easy. Hopefully we will all make it to June.

Yes, keep those babies baking!! Hope it's another month (at least) before we see the first one.

(I'm due the first couple days of July...but I always go over...so while I am due in less than 7 weeks, I keep telling everyone 8 weeks. I know I won't be first!)

I just wanted to say I have not had any of my kids in the month I was due.

I was due Sept 1st for Peter and he came Aug 25th
I was due June 25th with Tessa and she came July 3rd
I was due Oct 28th with Heath and had him Nov 4th

So while I was late the last 2 times I keep telling Bill maybe this one will be born late June to keep the not being born, in my due date month, pattern going Smile Because we know they won't let me go 3 weeks late and make it into July.

That's funny, I was just thinking the exact same thing for me.

Lily was due 1 December - born 8 November
Josie was due 4 July - born 22 June

Based on my scan, this baby is due 25 June, and with my history I am definitely expecting a June baby....can't believe it's so close!!!

Wow can't believe we are getting sooo close. I'm due July 19th but expect an early arrival ( will still be in the month of July) cos all 3 of my boys were about 2 weeks early.

I was just thinking this the other day. I always lurk the two boards that are giving birth - usually the current month and the next month (so right now it is May and June). I was thinking next month it will be this board. Crazy.

I definitely don't want a June baby. I want to make it at least to July but there is no way I want to go to Aug either (I am sure my dr's won't let me anyway). But I am right there with Rebecca - I am at the stage where I am ready to have these boys out.

I'm due July 29, but during all my ultrasounds she was measuring bigger. If the ultrasounds are right she should be born about a week and a half earlier. The date July 15 keeps sticking in my head for some reason? I have gotten to the point where I am sick being pregnant and want her out!

I expect Jenny to go first, but there is often a surprise.

I don't want to be first haha! I remember on DS's birth board (November) we had 1 in August, 1 in September, a handful in October, most in November and 1 or 2 in December! It was CRAZY! Thankfully our August and September babes are doing GREAT!

I keep thinking to myself that even though I have 7 weeks till term, I have about 4 weeks until she's here.. but then I keep remembering that DS was INDUCED-- he didn't come naturally at 37 weeks! haha and not only that my body wasn't even CLOSE to ready when I was induced, I was a finger tip (maybe) dilated. I know every pregnancy is different so who knows when this will happen, but I can't help but wonder if she's going to come early or not. I too have been having a fair amount of BH's (some stronger than others) but again, I don't think they're doing anything. I'm not sure when my OB will start checking me (dilation wise); my next appointment is at 34 weeks and we'll see if he even mentions it.. But all in all it is kind of scary how close this is getting.. I keep thinking to myself, she's coming whether I'm ready or not, but am I READY?!! haha. I feel so unprepared for her to come, like I'm missing something, but I think it's more or less b/c with DS I had EVERYTHING in place by this point, everything packed, everything planned, car seat in car, b/c mainly he was the first and that's just how I am.. where as this time around, I'm MUCH busier so I haven't had as much time to just sit and think about what I needed to do. Her room is currently a construction zone haha, so she needs to hold out a few more weeks Wink

My kids seem to like it in there, they've all stayed til just after their due date. Of course, I could have him anywhere from July 13-July 24 and beyond, since my OB office seems to go back and forth on my due date depending on the dr I see. I wouldn't mind having him after the 24th though! We're moving at the end of May and into June, and my high school is having an alumni weekend around the 15th of July that I RSVP'ed to before I found out I was pregnant again. My aunt is also going to be visiting from Virginia around that time, and I'd like her to be able to meet the little guy before she goes back.

Pamela, I'm with you. If I assume this one will come at the same time, I've only got 6 weeks and really need to start packing my bag, buying the carseat, etc. Somehow, it is just harder to get it all done this time.

This is the best day to be born Wink

I wonder if I'll be joining the "no kids born in their due month" club. We also have a bet going on in our house, My birthday is in November-- DH's birthday is July. DS was due November (born October) and DD is due July haha (likely born June).. so it'll be fun to have June, July.. October, November.. but it would have been even more fun to have July and November birthday's only-- but since DS messed that up we're going for the back to back birthday's haha

I have a feeling that I might be first because I may go crazy on bed rest and get up a lot more when I hit 35 weeks. Having had two at 30 weeks, 35 sounds just fine to me. (I know that sounds horrible, but the other two came home from the hospital at 35 weeks.) I hope there are no real surprises and no May babies.

Bill's co-workers wife is 32 weeks along with Twins (so also July EDD) and is in labor and they are not stopping it. They found out because of a NST and she is 1cm but they sent her home because if it is labor it is the early stages (she did not even know until they told her the NST was picking them up). Just keep them in prayer for healthy good sized babies. This will be #3 and 4 for them so it could be that she is having strong BH and that she is always 1cm, before labor because she is not having to much pain.

This means extra work for Bill to help cover for the guy as he is out but it also means that if she goes early it would work out for us that the guys will get full leave that won't over lap. AS this guy is married and so he gets the leave over Bill, because ours is out of wedlock (dumb army rules). If we have the babies at the same time Bill would not be able to take time until the other guy returns. Being that our EDD's are within a week of eachother it has been on my mind. But over all I wish her luck and healthy babies more then I want Bill with me for 10 days. (lol talk to me in 6 weeks if Bill misses the birth because of them and my story may change Smile ) But I like to think that I put the babies first over my self.

Good luck to her! Luckily, I've known several people who have had babies at 32 weeks and been fine. Hopefully hers are healthy and strong if they are infact ready to come out!

Isn't it common for moms who have already birthed to be dialated all of the time? So 1cm doesn't really seem much to me. That said, I do wish her the best. I dn't really understand why they wouldn't want to stop it though, at least put her on full bed rest for a little while.

That's what I was thinking but not only are they not stopping it they gave her something to help speed it up!! and put her in for a 35 week C-section if she is still prego then  Had I moved to VT I would be deliving in the same hospital, now after hearing that I am kind of happy that I am staying in NY.

At 32 weeks, if she has had the steroid shot to help develop the babies lungs, the babies will probably do very well. It sounds like there could be something else though that is going on because most doctors will try to stop labor no matter what if it is before 35 weeks.
I hope that she does not deliver until at least 48 hours after she has the shots. That is how long they have always told me it takes to fully help the baby.
