So I had an NST today.. Everything checked out great. I think my highest BP reading was 113/82.. most of them were 100's/68-70 range. AWESOME! I asked the nurse why in NST my BP's are picture perfect yet in the office they suck (ie my 147/105!), she said well, pretty much b/c I'm laying down the whole time they're taking them in NST. It's "calm" aka bed rest... She pretty much said that clearly the 'lying down and taking it easy' is helping my BP's stay low. We did lab work and I turned in my 24 urine. My labs came back fine and my urine came back at 114!! that's GREAT. I think my base line urine back weeks ago was like 108 or 118 or something around there.. No contrax on the monitor and Aubree's baseline was around 150's. All in all, normal. She made the comment that maybe I'm "cured" haha but that since I had the pre-eclamisia with DS that I'm more likely to get it this time, it just might come later than it did with DS, so they are still going to watch me. Oh well.. I'll see the doctor on Friday after my NST appointment and get a better feel for what he thinks about the whole situation and I'm sure I'll have to do another urine collection. He's also going to check me on friday, I bet I'm not even slightly dilated haha. I wasn't with DS even at 37 weeks when they induced, so I doubt I am this time.. I guess we'll see..
I also got a tour of the NEW L&D. It's AMAZING! To give you an idea, I delivered Jacob in the storage room, NO JOKE. I was the last admittance to our old L&D when I had him and I was in the room that they kept all the extra stuff. There were 4 hospital beds, all the little bassinets for the babies, storage lockers filled with blankets, towels, pads, and every other supply.. haha There was nothing 'private' or 'intimate' about it, no dimmed lights, nurses were in and out ALLL DAY AND NIGHT. It sucked. So anyway, I was waiting on my urine to come back but I wasn't allowed to leave in case it came back crazy so I went and wondered on L&D. The rooms are BEAUTIFUL. HUGE, PRIVATE rooms. All new equipment, beautiful bathrooms, TV's, the works! I'm SO excited the #1 major huge downfall is that there isn't birthing tubs I was SOOOOOO looking forward to them, but apparently due to budgets they aren't installing them anymore I was bummed! But all in all, L&D is amazing now and I'm super excited to deliver in the new rooms, so that made me happy
