winter boots??

I bought Brayden a snowsuit for winter and its way way way to puffy for him to wear in a carseat, i ended up finding him a winter jacket but am finding it really difficult to find warm winter boots that will fit him......do you ladies know of any good boots for canadian like cold weather?? I am thinking of buying these, but after i buy the liner to go with them they are $65 which seems like a lot of money to spend, the size is from 6-18 months and he would be able to wear them once the weather warms because of the removable liner....do you ladies know of any good winter boots that are more reasonably priced?

I'm not sure I would invest in boots unless you think he will be walking before winter is over and walking outside. I would just get him some really good socks with leather shoes if you want shoes.

When we are just going to and from the car he will probably just wear the white fleece outfit that he is wearing in my siggy pic but we will probably be outside quite a bit walking the dogs and shovelling the driveway when my DH is working out of town and i dont think that outfit will be enough for warmth, whenever i take him out in pants the leg's always scrunch up and he ends up showing alot of skin, his legs have been cold to the touch the last few times that we went out in pants and shoes and the weather hasnt been that bad........im thinking about boots because i can tuck his pants into the boots?? I have also been thinking about buying a stroller blanket and just keeping him in his white outfit, but i keep thinking that i freeze my butt off wearing boots and a good winter jacket which makes me think he wont be warm enough?? maybe i am over thinking this......lol

Ditto to the thick socks (or double up) then a pair of shoes if needed (go up a size so they'll fit). I had boots for my DD when she was this age, but only because they were really cute & girls stuff is irresistible Wink I don't plan on buying any for DS I can keep him covered up and warm in his car seat even without shoes (which I still usually put on him outside).

ETA: Have you looked into getting a BundleMe or something similar? http://www.amazon.com/JJ-Cole-Original-Infant-Bundleme/dp/B003KN27DC/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1321567139&sr=8-7 We have a different JJ Cole one that a friend lent to me and it stays WARM in there with that on plus I can cover his face if it is really bad out while I walk from my car to the store or whatnot.

Fellow Ontarian here - you won't need boots until next year (closest I would get would be Robeez) For the price of the boots you mentioned you should be able to get him a snowsuit and at this age they come, like sleepers, with the feet on them (usually that snap on and off) - that's enough for them at this age.
