Is your baby bad at sleeping? Here's some real advice...

Lurking for good cause, hehe. Okay so when Adrian was in his first month, he was a pretty crappy sleeper. I guess most newborns are. He would sleep during the day a lot and wake up at night every 2 or 3 hours, and I lived as a zombie for the first month. And I KNOW how it feels to be exhausted all day/night and never get a break. I just wanted to let you ladies know that there is something called the “Miracle Blanket” and it is seriously AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG. It's for babies that wake themselves up a lot from spasms(adrian spasms in his sleep a lot and wakes if he's not swaddled) or babies with colic. It has these special flaps that basically "glues" the babies arms to their sides. I bought it when he was about 5 weeks old. When he turned 6 weeks, we went on a vacation and ironically that’s when he truly started sleeping through the night! (we had to wake him to feed sometimes) He sleeps from around 9:30pm to about 5:00 or 6:00am. Then after he eats he goes back to sleep till 9 or 10am! It seriously works how they say it does. Don’t give up if your baby doesn’t like it for the first couple tries, just keep trying it and get him/her used to it. Sometimes they might get mad right when you swaddle them but just pop a boob or bottle in their mouth right before bed and BOOM, out like a light. I really hope you girls give this a try if you are really sleep deprived, I know how much it stinks. Here is there website… You can buy it on amazon, babies r us, and a few other online sites. I found it to be cheapest at babies r us. Good luck mommies

We used the Miracle Blanket for my DD until she was like 8 months old - they are definitely pretty awesome & I love that they don't have velcro like most of the other swaddling blankets.

I swear by swaddling, although I don't invest in anything fancy. It makes a huge difference to swaddle, even do it for naps.

Now though, I purposefully wrap her so she can get a hand out though because she likes to self-sooth by sucking on her fist or hand. Wink

DS hates being swaddled, even in the hospital he hated it. I may consider getting one of these though. I have a gift card to babies r us I have to use up, plus coupons.:p
