Babies "R" us trade in event?

Does anyone know if the you have to buy the same sort of thing that you trade in? I have an old bassinet that I'd like to get rid of, but don't want another bassinet. Could I use the 25% discount on something else, like a car seat, stroller, pack n play etc. Oooh, I also have an old toddler bed I could get rid of.....hmmm.....

No, you don't have to buy the same kind of item that you are giving back.

We had gotten rid of so much of our old stuff already! I am looking around for things that I can trade in, I definitely need to get a new car seat and would love to get 25% off.

I also noticed that it says "The Great Trade-In event places an emphasis on specific baby products, such as cribs and car seats that, due to safety concerns, may not be the best candidates to be handed down or resold. Beyond recalls, certain older and used baby items can be potentially unsafe for a variety of reasons, including damage or lack of compliance with recent advances in product safety standards."

Does this mean its gotta be a real old or recalled items only?? or just any unwanted items??

I believe it is any unwanted items.
