Bed rest update

I saw my doc last Thursday and she took me off the Terbutaline (thanks Kayla!) and switched me to Procardia and progesterone. And she said I could get up and move around the house/go to church as long as my contractions were controlled. Yay!!

I've been having a pain on my right side right below my rib so she decided to do an ultrasound, just to be safe. Everything looked good (prob my sciatic nerve) and baby was moving and grooving while we watched! He's grown so much since we saw him at 20 weeks! U/S tech said he was 1.7 lbs, head down and my cervix was still really short. Thank God for the cerclage and catching my IC when we did.

I'm so happy I can get up and get out, even if it's very restricted. Bed rest is no joke!

That's great! Terbutaline makes you so miserable, I am so glad you are trying something different. May I ask how you are taking the progesterone? I'm just curious since I've taken it in two forms. And I want to say Procardia was the medication my Perinatologist mentioned to me but I cannot say for sure. I thought it started with a P, so I bet that was it. She mentioned the side effects were much less than nasty Terbutaline.

I've been dealing with more contractions and cramping so I totally feel your pain. Thankfully, my cervix help up well last time so I hope it does this time as well. I'm so glad they caught your IC, like you said. I hope getting a break from bedrest will help the time pass a little quicker for you. That is a long time to have to be on bedrest!!

Kayla- the progesterone is an injection. Thank God, because I've taken the suppositories before too, and those are not fun.

Yes, the suppositories are a pain! I did injections last time but for some reason, this time I was breaking out in hives from them. So suppositories it is. Super fun.
