Csection soon

This is our fifth baby. Our previous four were all vaginal births but it looks like this is out trouble maker. At my 33w appt she was breech so when I went this week yesterday the doc checked again and she is still breech in the exact same spot she was last time. This baby is not going to urn they think she is stuck up in my ribs so we will be going for a section.

Because there is no hope of her turning I requested my section be ASAP. I do not exactly when it will be yet but am pretty sure it will be sometime he week after next because I will be 37 weeks then. She wanted to do it June 8th because she had an opening but I wouldn't be far enough along yet.

I go back to her this Tuesday and get the dates from her then.

Wow. I have been re-reading my Hypnobirthing book and there is a section in there about doing a special visualization that helps turn the baby and women who do it have the baby turn head down and stay head down more than 60% of the time. Maybe that's worth a try? Let me know if you want more info. Good luck!

Sorry you will end up with a c/s when you were hoping for another uneventful birth. Still, if you have any c-section questions, there are a few of us here who have been through it. And at least it's a scheduled section. I am not a fan of the long labor/c-section recovery! Smile

Let us know when they schedule it, it may be a bit later than you think. My hospital absolutely will not schedule c/s or inductions before 39 weeks. It will be interesting to see different takes on it in the different countries.

Sounds like you are pretty much resigned to the c-section, but I'd say it's still worth a shot to do some pelvic tilts, lie with your legs up the wall, etc. and see if giving her a bit more space will encourage her to consider turning. I know if they are used to being in a certain position for a long time it can be harder to get them to turn. How strange they think she is "stuck" in your ribs--not saying I don't believe it, but I'm not sure how the anatomy of that works since she is inside your uterus? Anyway, good luck and don't schedule that section TOO soon. Keep that baby girl baking a bit longer! Although I am SO DONE being pregnant too, I can totally understand being anxious to get it over with!

Not "in my ribs" sorry lmao I was typing from my iPad, her head is stuck up towards my ribs.

She is not turning unfortunatly we have tried a few things.

The c-section will likely be week after next, my doctor is fine with doing it 37-38 weeks since she will not turn. They wanted to schedule it for June 8th but since I am not 37 weeks until a couple days later they couldn't, it cannot be done any earlier then 37 weeks here unless medically necessary

Well, it's disappointing for sure, but the silver lining is knowing when you're going to meet your LO!

Well I am sorry you are not going to have the birth you originally wanted... but I am happy that you get to meet you little one soon!

My Dr. would not schedule my C-section until 39 weeks - so it will be around June 26th or 27th... Dr. to call me next week with the official date...

Wow, sounds like we're going to have a lot of June babies. My doctor is already talking about induction. I'm not complaining though, the sooner the better.
