got a call from the OBGYN...

scared the heck out of me. I had to call them back and i'm thinking "oh geez i bet they found something wrong with my overys or something.. tumor? something bad" well i call and they said my LDL chlosteral is 127 which is borderline high Sad So I have to get to the exercising and eating better. I knew this anyway but this gives me more reason.

Glad it wasn't something fertility related! And it's good they let you know. At least you can do what you need to do to get it in check! And exercise and healthy eating are good for pregnancy anyway Smile

Glad to hear it wasn't fertility related as well.

Are you at a high weight- that might affect fertility? I've heard of how people lose just a few pounds and then get pregnant right away. Maybe it's a good bump to get motivated!

I've gained quite a bit while TTC, kind of figured I'd be gaining weight soon (with being pregnant) so I stopped trying to lose- and ended up gaining a bunch- but not being pregnant. Ugh..

So i've decided this month would be a whole new start for myself. Then, if at the end of the month, AF shows her ugly face, at least I'll have something to celebrate by being a few pounds down, and feeling better about myself.

When I eat healthy/exercise I also have a lot more energy and a better mood, so that cant hurt right?!

If you'd like we could start a thread for those of us who want to get healthier this cycle, maybe check in with what were eating and maybe weigh in (dont have to put numbers, maybe just a loss or gain or set other goals) to help motivate eachother.
I feel it'll also help pass time, the waiting to O and 2ww might not drag by so slow!!

I really really really want to lose these 10 lbs at least before getting pregnant, I want to start off a lower weight this time around so that I wont gain SOOO much while Pregnant!!

I agree! I lost 10lbs in the beginning of the year and am just trying to maintain (although losing 5 additional lbs would be great) so it would be so nice to have accountability here! I really need to stay on top of eating healthy. I'm good about watching my calories but I am always trying to eat more fruits and veggies and have been seriously slacking in that area lately.

Ive been trying to tell myself to eat more "fertility-friendly foods" so even when I tell myself "screw the weight loss" I try to remember not only is it weight loss- its healthy fertile foods! So instead of like processed things, like granola bars and canned soup that I always fall back on, I'm trying to just have fresh fresh fresh foods.

Hopefully it'll boost my energy too!

I have basically 10lbs exactly to lose to be totally happy with a starting weight to be pregnant.

Then I'll still need to really watch what I eat and maintain a good healthy lifestyle in order to not gain 50+ lbs like I did last time!!

I'm glad it wasn't bad fertility news also.

I'm all for the Healthy/Weight loss thread. I need to lose a lot of weight. I would love to do it before baby ... but that's probably not going to happen unless we have a long go at it.

I would love to do a healthy weight thread! I have started getting on track with working out again and I think it's going really well. I lost 50lbs in this last year by doing Beachbody programs. I did Power 90 and that got the ball rolling for me and i lost 25lbs with that and then Turbo Jam and Turbo Fire lost me another 25lbs. I love these programs! I was going great and losing weight every week just by working out and not eating so bad and then my gallbladder started giving me trouble. Turns out if you lose alot of weight like that you are prone to having gallbladder trouble. So in March I had that removed and now I'm still trying to get back on track. I guess they cut your abs to get to your gallbladder? I had no idea! So i'm really having a tough time but I'm getting back on track.

I'm telling myself it's non negotiable that I have to keep going even if it's not to lose weight but to be healthy for my kids. I figure if I work out everyday and eat healthy I have nothing to lose but fat right? I am about 10lbs from my pre-preg weight from DS but I would love to lose another 50lbs and be at my highschool weight. I'm just gonna keep truckin!
