help - hip pain

Hi Ladies. I started having hip pain (right side) last Wed. On Sat I called a chiropractor and tried to get in that day (they booked me for this morning). I basically cannot walk without pain. Standing is fine, sitting is fine. I saw the chiro today and he did an adjustment but said my sac on my joint is likely inflamed. So now it is still very painful to walk (never mind keep up with DD) and working is really hard. I have not wanted to take Advil so desperately in all my life. Has this happened to you? How long does it take to go away? Do you think I should talk to another doctor? I don't think I can do this for 6+ more weeks.

:lurk:

I have a lot of issues with my connective tissues normally, let alone when I'm pregnant. My suggestion is to talk to your doctor if the chiropractor didnt help. There may be something more going on that could be causing the pain. With my first my doctor sent me for an MRI just to rule things out... when it came back it wasnt any of the things that could be more serious, he put me on lifting/walking/standing restrictions (at the time I was in college and working two jobs... one at Kohl's... I had to move to the register and had a stool with me so I could sit down every now and then). In the end, I did have to go on pain meds. Hoping that the next 6 or so weeks go quickly for you, and that you can find a way to be as comfortable as possible.

Aww bummer, I am so sorry about the pain. I had HORRRIBLE hip pain like you have discribed with my DS it was awful! I wish I had the answer for you Sad I will say though I have had lots of aches and pains lately and we stayed at a hotel the other night while we moved and I was able to get in to the hot tub, ( don't worry it wasn't that hot) and immediately upon entering I felt no pain anywhere, it was AMAZING!!!!! Could you maybe try that to see if it at least could help take some of the strain off of the things that are already hurting?

I developed hip bursitis from running years ago. Icing helped, but there was basically nothing they could do. I stopped running and the pain stopped, but I still can't run without it getting pretty achy. You can take tylenol or ibuprofen, right? I hope it gets better soon, hopefully it will resolve after you deliver.
