Insomnia, anyone?

Anyone else having trouble getting full nights of sleep? My body is sooo tired and I know I need to sleep but my eyes just don't feel tired! I've been unable to sleep longer than 6-7 hours a night, which is totally unusual for me!

I guess I'll be sleepy enough soon enough, but it sure is annoying to be so sleepy during the day and wide awake at night! Smile

You better get your sleep now. Here in 8 short months we aren't going to be getting any sleep. Wink

Posts: 100 usually takes me awhile to fall asleep, but these last few morning I keep waking up really early (this morning at 5 when went to bed around 11). Yuck! I have a lavender lotion I put on that is a scent signal that it is time to sleep. I will personally try that. Maybe if you set up more of a routine, short warm bath, calming lotion, that would help.

Good luck!

I have felt that way for all 3 of my prior pregnancies (2 ended in m/c) but not this time. The difference? I am doing acupuncture. It is so great for that and stress relief. I have heard it also helps with morning sickness (but I think it might be too early for me to say if it's helping me). I do keep a stack of good books by my bed, just in case. For sure I find I cannot sleep in at all (but who can with a 3.5 year old?).

Not I. I'm tired by noon, ready for bed by 7 and asleep by 9. That's unusual for me, because I'm a night person. I usually don't go to bed until 11-12. I usually sleep in too until like....9-10 in the morning. Lately I've been waking up at like 6:30 and can't get back to sleep. I was awake at 5 this morning. Crazy!!

Getting asleep isnt the problem for me. It's staying asleep. I wake up in the middle of the night and I am awake for an hour. Wouldn't be so bad if I only woke up 1-2 times, but I'm waking up like 5. So I get about 3-4 hours asleep a night. Sucks!!! Sad

I haven't slept well since I found out I was pregnant. It started right away. I either have trouble falling asleep, toss and turn or wake up early. It's not horrible b/c I am getting decent sleep overall but it's not the best sleep I've ever had.

Amazingly enough, I am not having this problem. I am SO tired. I have been asleep by around 8pm almost every night for about 2 weeks now and am sleeping straight through. I am trying to appreciate it while I can.

I've been sleepy in the afternoon and in bed by 8:30-9. Usually I'm a 10:30 girl so I'm definitely getting more sleep. Except last night- I tossed and turned all night.

I've been sleeping about 3-4 hours. It's driving me nuts. With 2 kids and working full time, I'm a bit tired. But once I get up to pee, I can't fall back asleep. I never had this with my other 2 Sad

I'm a night owl some nights before this pregnancy. But lately have been in bed by 11 pm or earlier.... tonight is one of those off nights where I am having issues falling asleep. It also happens on weekends. I also used to sleep later like til 9 or 10 depending on when I went to bed but now usually up before my 9 oclock alarm. I have good amounts of energy during the day but have trouble motivating myself once I get home from work Sad

I've been sleepy but I have been having a hard time falling asleep cause my mind isn't shutting off. So much to think about and of course try and process. Hopefully as I realize this is real and life goes back to normal I hope I will be able to get good sleep.
