ugh stupid spotting!!!!

I started spotting yesterday and am still spotting today. I'll have to wait till tomorrow probably for a real AF and then it will just gush out  I just hate having to wait till tomorrow or next day to count it as this cycle start. I want to start now! LOL

My doc always tells me to start counting from the day that I start spotting. Usually I have one day that's kind of like spotting and is less of a flow and then the next day is a real flow and then I spot some more and it's over. It seems like most people are advised not to count it until they day of actual flow. I don't know why my doc is different. Maybe it's cause I have PCOS and sometimes AF is nothing but spotting. Anyway good luck! I hope it picks up soon and then maybe you can go ahead and count today as CD1.

hmm that's weird i don't know. I would def listen to your dr though cuz i'm just looking at the directions for the clearblue easy test strips and I never noticed it before. i know when I had my other 2 i didn't know and counted the spotting as day 1 but i do remember i always had really long cycles too so maybe that's y? I dunno we shall see.

I always counted my first day of spotting as day 1. Then I started poking around over here and realized that I needed to start counting day 1 as the first day of actual flow. I spot for at least two days before I actually start AF. It's really annoying because you just want it to start all ready...hehe.

Hi girls! I used to count CD1 as the first day of spotting- but then I realized it was more accurate when I counted it the next day, but I used to only spot for 1 day before AF so still equaled out the same..

However last month I started spotting on sunday night, and didnt have a real "gush" until the next friday or saturday!

I used tampons during the week and they were only about 1/3 or less covered (sorry tmi) each day.. soo I just didn't count CD1 until that friday, even though I feel all those days combined probably would equal a day earlier.. haha.. IDK...

I have noticed that when my friends get pg the doctor asks them to count from the first day of spotting. soooo who knows! I guess if you kept it consistant you would still know the same amount of CDs! (like if you spot two days early, before af, then counted that as CD1, you'd still end on CD28 - or whenever you end- if you counted it when you started spotting again) If you KWIM???? The length in days would stay the same, just the dates would be a little off.

you know... i wonder if that's why with Logan he always ran small for his gestational age but he was fine.... maybe my dates were off cuz of spotting? I do have a long spotting period sometimes and it's so annoying! Like sometimes it's like a week like that and I'm like geez lets just get this overwith already LOL. even if im not trying to get pg i just hate having my period!

Hmm, I've always started with the first day of spotting as well. Wonder if I shouldn't. My periods were always very regular in the past, every 28 days on the dot. But they have been all wonky since my youngest. Going to use OPK just to be sure.
