Yeesh...

Somehow I overdid it today. DH let me sleep in, and we had a pretty mellow day, but for some reason I feel like I was out digging up garden beds all day. I scrubbed the bathtub before DS' bath, and I seriously feel like an 80 year old woman right now. My back is killing me and I have to grunt in pain every time I stand up. There are things I love about pregnancy, but I miss the body I had before, you know, the one that could actually move? Wink

I was just commenting on that to DH today. After a nice leisurely walk around IKEA, I was really really tired. And I know it's only going to get worse, and will continue to be bad for at least another 6 months (including c-section recovery). It was depressing, but then I realized that must be what getting old is like, and at least ours is temporary...for now... Smile

I have been feeling so exhausted too lately. By the time I make it to work it feels like I should be able to get a nap. When I picked my daughter up at lunch on Friday to take her to get on the bus for school I actually drove past the street we were supposed to turn on and I didn't even notice! Ali had to ask me "mom are we going a different way to catch the bus" before I even noticed. I do not love the feeling tired part. I thought we were supposed to have oodles of energy in T2, apparently my body does not agree!

After another achy, tired, beached whale of a day, I realized what is wrong: I am minutes away from T3! I am so grateful to be expecting, but seriously, can I just nap for the next 3 months?

Oh thank goodness, it's not just me! I was going to meet my sisters for lunch one day and by the time I showered, fed my DD, changed her twice, got her dressed and in the car, I was pooped. I wanted to go back in the house to rest. By the time I came back and got her ready and down for a nap, I had to lay down. Then there are days where I wake up exhausted. I did not have fatigue like this the last time. I guess I'm older and have a toddler now though. Is that making all the difference?

I cannot imagine going through this with a toddler...I have also been feeling pooped. I am regretting buying a two story house, those darn stairs are making me feel ancient! I have been trying to get to the gym, but ugh...isn't being pregnant enough exercise for my body??? Not according to my 15 pound gain already! Oh well, it will all work out the way it's suppose to, but KUDOS to those with kids already!

I fee like that must be it! I wasn't NEARLY as tired and achey my first pregnancy - we moved our house when I was 28 weeks pregnant last pregnancy and I only had to rest once - I had all the enrgy in the world!
Now at almost 26 weeks I grunt and groan each time i climb the stairs, get onto or off the floor, in and out of the car - pretty much anything and i have no motivation to do anything! I am unsure if it is b/c I am 3 years older this time around or b/c now i have a toddler so I don't get to rest as much!
Really I loved being pregnant so much last time - I could not wait to do it again..and I am really trying to enjoy it b/c this may or may not be my last child - but jeesh I kinda want to be done already!

I'm glad I'm not the only one too! I was chalking it up to being 3 years older and having a toddler to chase this time also. I am seriously starting to look forward to labor because it means I am finally done being pregnant. It wasn't until the very end last time that I stopped being terrified of labor and just wanted it to happen because I would do anything to not be pregnant anymore!

Yes, yes, yes. I keep saying I feel like such a wimp! I know a mom who was pregnant with number four and was going to zumba class every week! Yeah... I'm not that kind of pregnant lady. Wink Of course, being high risk, my doctor would probably have a fit if I were to even try it but they don't need to worry about that.
