I meet with the midwife January 8th. I'm really anxious and nervous since last time my bp went up at 32 weeks and I had to be transferred to an OB. I really don't want that to happen again :( I am excited for another chance with them though!!

Fun!
I have been playing phone tag with my new OB all day. It's pretty funny. He has a small practice, just himself and a nurse so it's hard to catch them on the phone. It'll be worth it, though. He's supposed to be the best in my area. Low c/s rates, promotes natural fertility options, etc. I'm pumped!
sounds great!! I really debated going back and forth between a midwife and ob. I'm still questioning it lol. Good luck!!
I debated, too. But the only real midwife practice (other than like one midwife in a practice with 20 doctors) is an hour away. This guy is about as midwife-ish as a male OB can be. He's the only one in my area that encourages VBac (I've never had a c/s but I still think this is awesome) and he keeps in touch by email in between appointments if you just feel like chatting. I'm thinking I will be happy with this choice.
Good luck with making a final decision for you, too! It's so hard to decide.
Yay!!
My OB used to have a midwife and I loved her last time. She isn't working there now, but my OB is hoping to bring another one on.
So exciting, hope you have a good appointment :) I had pre-e with my first son and also i developed pregnancy induced hypertension with my second son. I read that taking a calcium-magniseum supplement may help I asked my ob about it and he said it wouldnt hurt to try it with my prenantal
those sound like awesome ob's!!! I know we have some excellent ones here and that I would be in good care, that is why it was (and still is!) a struggle for me to choose. I am really indecisive lol.
Che, I have heard about that actually. I was planning on asking the midwife at my first appt what she thought.
Yay, Janice!!! Good luck choosing who to use.
Yay:) mine is not until Jan 4th. May have to change it to another week since I want my husband there when he has his days off, You ladies are lucky, I have no choice to see an OB. There is not a midwife where I live and I would love to experience to water birth.
i would be interested in trying that. My hospital has a tub, but for DS I wasn't "allowed" to use it because the nurse told me i was probably going to have an epidural
