    Default Sinus Congestion

Man, I've been pretty sick this week and I finally went to the doctor today. It's a virus so it just has to work through the system. It's not that I wanted it to be serious, I just wanted something to be fixable. I'm downright miserable. I haven't been to work all week, feel crummy, and just exhausted. Worst of all my sinuses are so full and I am so congested. The doctor said since I'm preggers I can't really take anything for that. Are there any natural remedies you guys know of for sinus congestion relief? I feel like they're going to blow up!

I feel so icky, but I probably should really go to work tomorrow. Ick....

Aww that sucks I hope you will feel better soon. Try steaming your self. Get a steamer or use a tea kettle and put your face close but not to close to burn and stay there for a few minutes or try steaming up your bathroom with the hot water running out of the shower and just sit. Not to sure about this but could always try Vic's.

I've also got a blocked sinus, I normally find having a warm bath in a steamy bathroom helps to loosen the gunk.

Steam. Warm wash cloths on your face can help. My OB said Mucinex is safe for drying out drainage but I don't think that will help when it's all built up. Once it starts draining, though, Mucinex is safe if the drainage makes you nauseous.

I have the same thing. Saline nasal spray is safe to use. Of course steaming helps. I hope we both start to feel better soon.

Thanks ladies! I've been utilizing the steam which has helped. Thanks for the tip! I am feeling a little better, but am just plain exhausted. It must be hard on the body to have the LO in it and be recovering from a nasty virus like this!

Have you ever tried a neti pot? I'm think they work miracles for sinus problems.

    I hope you feel better!
