My zofran will be ready in an hour. I'm so relieved. I literally can't get out of bed today. When I got up to pee, I ended up throwing up. I really hate taking meds. But I felt this was the best choice for Tori and LucAs, who have been left on their own to do schoolwork, make sandwiches at lunch time and entertain themselves too much the pat few weeks. This isn't fair to them so I am going to try the zofran and pray that I can crawl out of bed and go to Tori's 7am swim meet tomorrow and maybe even get back to life in general by Monday.
Any experiences with zofran?
Zofran worked miracles for me when I first started taking it. I could eat, my stomach would still get queasy, but it'd go away. I wasn't on the couch anymore - smells didn't bother me as much. It totally saved me from losing my job and punching my husband.
However, it will make you constipated, so be sure to drink plenty of fluids and try to think about when the last time you went was, because if you haven't gone in a day or so, it's much easier to eat a prune or something - instead of realizing in a week that you haven't gone at all.
Also, I've been on on Zofran for 16 weeks now and it's kind of ....well it doesn't work anymore. Hopefully your m/s doesn't last as long as mine is. Oh and one more thing: Although Zofran will make you feel great... do NOT over stuff yourself. I got all excited thinking I could eat whatever/whenever...and learned the hard way that's not the case.
Zofran is my miracle drug. I can't function without it! I've been on it 3 weeks now. I love zofran!
Baby #3 due July 6 2013
I feel so much better. I was up at 6 for my daighter's swim meet yesterday without getting sick and we were out all day and had people over at night. I didn't start feeling sick until about 10pm (and at that point, I hadn't had any Zofran in seven hours). I took it before bed last night and finally slept through the night because I wasn't waking all night to throw up all night long.
I am so glad I decided to take it. Yesterday was the first day I was able to get out of bed for more than an hour in weeks.
I lived on zofran in my first pregnancy until week 21ish. I'm on it now since week 6. It does make you constipated. For me Zofran only helps when my m/s is not at it's peak. When I'm at my sickest it doesn't even touch it and I have to combine it with other meds. Currently I'm on zofran and phenergan (at night). I'm still getting sick 6 out of 7 days.

Finding the Balance - My blog!
I was that bad with my first two. This time is much less severe than the last two but with two big kids to keep up with, it makes it seem worse, if that makes sense. I have more that I have to do now so it seems so much worse.
the Zofran is really, really working for me. I'm drinking tons of apple juice to combat the constipation and so far it is working (apple juice is the most effective for me). I'm going to go buy some Activia to add to my protein shakes, too. That stuff keeps me going, hahahahahaha.
My energy level is still cruddy but otherwise I'm good. Eating normally, not waking up all night, not puking violently throughout the day. I still get really, really nauseated around 10pm, but even then, I haven't thrown up at all. Yea!
