Anatomy scan

We had our anatomy scan this past Monday. After 2 boys, we are so excited to finally have a girl! I never thought I'd have a girl before and it still seems very surreal.

Ultrasound went great and she's measuring right on track. Not issues at all. I go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound and will likely have an ultrasound every 4 weeks due to previous high risk pregnancies and gestational diabetes. I had it with my 2nd son and will most likely have it again unfortunately.

Also, I still have somewhat of an anterior placenta but not like we thought. Right now it's more to my to right. This shouldn't really limit me feeling baby move or cause any issues with c-section. Very happy about that! I expect the farther along I get, the higher and farther back it will go.

~lurker~ Congratulations on your healthy baby girl! Biggrin

I have 2 little boys followed by our baby girl. I totally expected to be a mom of 3 boys and was quite excited to have a baby girl. I love the mix of the 2 boy and baby girl dynamic so far.

Best wishes for a smooth remaining pregnancy! Smile

Yes and no. I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which can cause insulin resistance. The combined with have GD with my previous pregnancy makes it more likely I'll have it this time around. If I pass the first time, I'll have to do it again later in the pregnancy.
