TWW!

So 2nd IUI cycle. I went in on CD 11 for ultrasound and BW. One follicle was 22 mm, and estrogen was 576; so they called me that afternoon and told me to do the trigger shot!! I was shocked, considering I usually O on CD 15, and last month we did the IUI on CD 16! (that was unmonitored)

So IUI occured yesterday, but I def felt some O cramping Smile Now in the dreaded TWW!! This time around I finally opened up to a close friend (who also had infertility and got pregnant thru IVF). Last cycle we didn't want to tell anyone b/c we didn't want that pressure, but it's so much easier to talk about it with a friend who has gone thru the same things and understands my obsessing! LOL

I know it's a little early since I think I was the first one to post in the "waiting to O" thread, AND I'm only on CD 14, but anyone else out there in the TWW??

Yup, but I would technically have a very late June EDD if I am pregnant. I am doubtful though, my temps are too low. I have a Mum from ds's day care who had IUI so I have spoken to her and two ex workmates, but none of my close friends or family know that we have been ttc for so long, or that we are ttc at all.

yeah, but like Wendy I'd be a June EDD (June 24th). June is so dead though that I'd hang out here if it was busier! Smile

I may be in the TWW. I feel like I either I'd yesterday or today - I'll wait to see what tomorrow's temp says. I'm feeling optimistic, but not wanting to jinx anything.

Well I am certainly not sane anymore Mel, and when af arrives I tend to eat lots of chocolate and drink lots of wine. Unhealthy coping yes, but when you are pretty much alone every night and few people know whats happening in real life it works.

Oh good so I am normal. I crave sweet stuff when af is in town. It was the first sign I was pregnant with DS, a day or so before AF was due I had to get milk and at the supermarket you have to walk past the bakery to the milk and I didn't want to buy anything

11 dpo, and my temp jumped up again. Please let this be a good thing. I felt yuck last night and thought I might throw up twice, my boobs have been on and off sore and I am tired, though last night I was less tired than other nights, but still fell asleep sometime between 8 and 9pm when putting DS to bed. Not getting my hopes up though just yet, i caved and tested (just in case I got a pos then af so it's more evidence of an issue) and it was a bfn. DS was playing with a doll at day care and was putting his baby to bed so I said come on lets go home you have a baby doll you can play with at home, h said no Mummy there a pink baby in your belly. He has said this many times before though.

Hi ladies! I'm 6-7dpo, I'm going to start testing tomorrow Smile LOL. I can't hold out any longer. I picked up 5 of the .88 Walmart brand tests today.

Wendy- I hope those are all good signs for you!

Katie- Good Luck! Walmart has .88 tests? Why have I never seen these?! Though it's probably good that I haven't found them, I'd have a stash and go even crazier! Though, I think now I need to go stalk my walmart....

haha - Jordan, I was thinking the same thing! I don't know if my walmart has .88 tests!! I still have some that I bought on amazon, but I don't want to start testing for another 5-6 days, I'm only 5 DPIUI.

So I went in today for my first BW since IUI - my est was 525 and prog was only 11.2. Now I'm technically only on CD 18, so I go in again on Thurs for BW, FX my levels are going up! I'm actually really concerned I have low progesterone levels. Before clomid it was like 9.8, with my luteal phase only being like 9-10 days. Since Clomid it's been 15 & 17.5... but my concern is that if I implant late, but my progesterone has already started dropping, that I'd lose the pregnancy. that's what I think happened last cycle since I started spotting, but didn't get my BFP until a day later, then beta the next day was below 5, and the day after that I got AF. (chemical pregnancy)
So if my dr doesn't think I need progesterone - but I think it's still too low - should I just purchase some progesterone cream myself?
What are your thoughts? DH thinks I should just listen to the dr's - but actually this RE has only been seeing me for the past 3 months, he doesn't really know me and my cycles BEFORE TTC...

Good luck Katie and Wendy! I'm vowing to wait until 13 DPO to test. I actually haven't tested in months, AF always comes earlier than expected.

I only tested as I have had some confirmed chem pregnancies and some suspected because I refused to test and I think now I need the evidence if I am having them. I will see what happens over the coming days, I had a tiny spot of pink today but only once. I have had wonky cycles the last 2 months with either af or serious spotting by now so trying to keep positive.

Kristi- I'm saying the same thing, but it's not working, haha. Trying to stay calm and not go crazy. I even tried to figure out where I'm at in my cycle, but without knowing when I O'd, Ugh. I have somewhere between 4-8 days left for AF to show.

Wow, that has come round quick! Where is this year going??

I still have so long to wait with AF playing up on me last month, so I'm waiting to see when she decides to show this time around. Going by last AF, it should be the first week in Nov - WTH??!!!!! haha.

I agree- this cycle has gone by quick! Well at least the first 2 weeks, the last two always drag! hahaha. I have only a week left until I go in for BW to test beta!!

Are there any women out there that can stay calm and relax during the TWW?! B/c I'd love to know how they do it?!?! Smile
Anyone ready to symptom spot? I started having some shooting pains (both sides actually) starting 4DPIUI...it's stopped today, but more low cramps (6 dpiui), and boobs mildly hurt. I had an ultrasound on CD 3 to check for cyst, everything looked good...I had another one on CD 11 to measure follicles. I know they weren't looking for cyst, but it would still show on US right? Anyway, my point is, could a cyst develop that quickly? Could that be the cause of the pain at only 4DPIUI (CD 17)

I live to symptom spot!(not really, but it beats actually cleaning my house at the moment!) I wish I knew exactly where I was this cycle, so much for relaxing and being stress free, haha. I'm tired lately, I caved and POAS today. BFN, I kind of figured seeing as I could be 8 days out for AF. I was nauseous yesterday and the day before. Along with some lower back pain and I had some strange CM today, it looked like yellowy snot (SORRY TMI!) Also, My cervix is pretty high. DH and I have only missed 2 days not DTD this month, it's been fun actually, Although I refuse to get my hopes up again.

Marie- I wish I had some insight on the cyst thing, I had one rupture after appendix surgery back in 2012, but I don't know how quickly they form and rupture.

Wendy - does temp drop mean AF is on her way? (I don't temp, so not familiar with the process) If so, I'm SOOOO SORRY!! ((HUGS))

Well went in for my 2nd BW since IUI - I'm a week out (7 DPIUI) and my progesterone was only 14.2. (it was 12.5 two days ago, so at least it's going up) Which brings me to a question: Does progesterone go up based on the cycle day OR based on the # of days post ovulation? I know that might not make sense, but what I'm trying to determine is if my levels are the same each cycle. So last cycle I had BW done 7 DPIUI, however it was already CD 23 (I ovulated late), but this cycle, I ovulated early, had the IUI, and did BW today - 7 DPIUI, but I'm only CD 20.

Also, I decided to test - and it was BFN (which what did I expect at only 7 DPIUI) there might have been a slight line, almost to the point I could have been imagining it - but I did have a trigger shot, so could still be lingering 9 days later. BUT at least I know now that IF I get a BFP, and the line is darker - then it's a true + and not the trigger shot.

Generally yes, when temping you can see pre ovulation temps are lower then go up after ovulation. If pregnant they stay up, if not they drop below coverline and af starts.

This is this months chart

My Ovulation Chart

See how my temp is at cover line today, it will dip lower tomorrow I would guess.
This is the first month for awhile though my Luteal phase has been normal, I've been having 12 days at most, usually less, lately and lots of spotting, this month it's normal and any spotting I've had has been so minimal I can't class it as real spotting

I hope that turns into a real line for you soon, like you said at least you know the trigger is gone

Wendy - thank you for the "education"!! I've never actually seen anyone's chart before - pretty interesting. I wish I could temp, but my schedule is all over the place - I never wake up at the same time everyday.

I've been having cramps/pains the past few days, so I'm hoping I implanted super early, before my progesterone drops...and I can get my BFP sooner rather than later!!! Smile

AF arrived. Just waiting to call the clinic to book IUI. I have told work I may need time off as I have had stomach aches and my doctor wants it checked out if it comes back so I have a cover for days off. It just comes on a bad week for work as I have material to file for court the week after so two days out of the office will be hard and it will be end of month and I have tons of work due by end of month this month. I will make it work though, if not I cancel the IUI again

I'm sooooo sorry AF arrived!! Sad BIG HUGS!!!!! I really hope you can get some answers from the DR...and that you don't have to cancel IUI! Work can be such a pain right?! haha.

I'm a trainer (computer software for a hospital) and I've had BW and/or US at least once a week (sometimes twice). I ALWAYS find someone to cover for me, if needed, and my appointments have never been more than 30 mins. (with the exception of the IUI day) and luckily, my doc's office is located in the hospital that I work for! (So NO traveling!) Before I started my procedures, I talked to my manager about having all these appts, and some I won't have much notice - and she said that as long as I have coverage, I'm okay. (plus I clock-out, so I'm not getting paid for it anyway) SOOO anyway, I got an email from a team leader (who also knows about my situation) asking if I could try to schedule appts before or after work, that things were going to get really busy, and they are afraid I might not be able to find someone to cover for me!! I was quite upset and explained that I wouldn't take off work unless I had coverage, and I can't go before work (I start at 7 am, and the office doesn't open until 730, and I have to go to that office for insurance/billing reasons) it was just frustrating b/c I thought my work was supportive of what I'm going thru....something else to stress about!!

I have been quiet over here this cycle because we have had to have time out from the clinic. Turns out I have ovulated on my own this month. On DAY 12 at that.

Very tired for no reason. And FF is giving me a Due date of 8th July.

If the clinic I am going to wants to see me that often I will have to bow out, it's a 3 hour round trip for me to get there. I have no one who can cover one of my biggest bits of work, I am an applicant for a court order going to hearing I have to write the material required. I'm also not telling work what is going on so have to get cover stories made up, I just don't feel comfortable telling as I work in a very small office.

I have booked my CD10 scan, haven't okayed the time off with work yet so may still need to cancel. I may have to suck it up and tell my team leader though because if this is going to be a common thing it's going to be hard to keep lying, it's just hard to say as my work believe DS was an oopsie (i had been at that office a month when I fell pregnant, we moved here to start a family I decided straight away would be good and bam first try I was pregnant)

Jodie I hope this month works out for you, a natural bfp would be a nice surprise I am guessing

Oh Wendy - I do hope everything works out! Having to worry about work, and trying to get off, or having someone cover for you should NOT be another stressor thru this journey. And I'm so sorry that you have to travel so far for an RE! Sad

AFM - well I woke up about 430 am to pee - and had REALLY bad cramps. They lasted for over an hour, only felt better after taking 2 Aleve and taking a hot bath. (luckily I could sleep in this morning!) Def not AF cramps as only on CD 21 & 8 DPIUI (and AF cramps usually don't start until day 2 of AF) No bleeding. So anyway, I decided to POAS (at 430, FMU, but it had only been about 4.5 hours since I last peed) SOOOO I need some opinions! Yesterday I thought I saw a line, but not sure if the trigger shot is still in my system....so I see another line today, but not sure if it's getting darker, lighter, or the same. How long does trigger shot stay in system, today would be 10 days since trigger shot (well tonight at 7 pm would be) I've attached the pics (hopefully you can see it!!)
The top one is from yesterday, bottom from this morning....what do you think?!?!

WELL I decided to test again....and it was WAY lighter than this morning, so I might have answered my own question. Smile
But I'll continue to test each morning until either BFP, or AF arrives. Smile

I couldn't see the pictures.

Yeah it suckls having to travel so far, but I guess thats what happens when you live in a small town. It can be a quicker trip but I always count on an hour and a half because they are always doing roadworks on that stretch of road, traffic once you get into town etc.

Yeah I can't see the pics now either, only when I first posted them. I can't say that I'm not a tiny disappointed that the lines were getting lighter instead of darker, but now I know that the trigger shot is def leaving my body - plus 8 DPIUI is a little early to test.
But since I've been having so much cramping/sharp pains, I feel like maybe I'm implanting early. Like these cramps this morning were full blown wake me up cramps! And like I said, I usually don't get cramps with AF until day 2 and I've had NO bleeding or spotting yet. I'm sooooo anxious now to test!!

What's everyone doing this weekend in an effort to not think about the TWW?! Smile
Our neighbors are having their annual fall party - always a blast. and Sunday I'm going to local Rennaissance Faire. I do it every year with my closest girlfriends. They also have a winery attached, so we spend a lot of time waste tasting and picking out the bottles to buy, but looks like this year I won't be wine tasting Smile (and I'm totally okay with that!!!!)

I'm not doing a very good job of being distracted. I'm totally symptom spotting and look at FF 10x/day to remind myself how many DPO I am and when I can POAS.
We have a super busy weekend coming up though so I'm hoping to keep busy and test on Thursday Smile

PA is really a great state since we have all 4 seasons, but winters are cold and rough, and summers are very hot and HUMID!! I've been to Toronto twice, once in July, and it was cold (for that time of year!) and again in Sept - perfect weather Smile (and great city!!)

Well I started testing yesterday to see if trigger shot was still left in my system - I got a faint line both yesterday and this morning, but tested again this afternoon and line was gone - so seems like it's slowly getting out of my system. (and true in that they say it can take up to 10 days!) Now I'm only 8 DPIUI, so it's still very very early, but I'll prob test daily until either BFP or AF arrives. I do have a apt on Wednesday for BETA - so I'm excited about that !!!!

What about you Katie - where are you at in your cycle? how many days til you test? (sorry if you posted already and I missed it!)
