Well, we have decided that Logan must be the king of birthday scares! The day he was born he was 6 weeks early and a big, scary surprise and he delivered another one to us on the night of his first birthday.
We put him to bed like normal and he was out till about 10pm when he woke up fussing a bit. He tends to do this on and off when he dreams, so we listened to him for a bit and he settled and went back out. Well, about 5 min later he did the same thing, this time a bit more escalated. So, I went in to his room to check on him to see what was going on. When I got in there I found him laying on his back with his leg STUCK in the bars of his crib! It was so stuck that we couldnt get it out at all. He was so stressed out and scared- crying this sorta panicked cry- I felt so helpless!! My mind had already jumped to running for the saw to cut the bars, but DH grabbed some vaseline and lubed his leg all up (it was stuck just above the knee). Thankfully, the vaseline worked and we slid his leg out. GEEZ! What a scare!
His leg is fine now, no bruising or anything but... what are we supposed to do now? He is a MOVER at night, he is up and down the crib all night long! We dont want to put bumpers in, since he sleeps with his head right up to the bars...any ideas? Anyone had this happen before?!
